🇦🇿 The World Judo Championships Baku 2026 brought the international judo family together for an outstanding celebration of our sport, filled with exceptional performances and unforgettable moments. 🥋
“The World Judo Championships in Baku have once again demonstrated Azerbaijan’s strong commitment to judo.
I would like to express my deepest gratitude to His Excellency Mr Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, for his longstanding support of judo, his personal attention to our sport and his continued commitment to its development. This dedication, sustained over many years, has played an important role in strengthening judo and creating excellent conditions for its growth.
My sincere appreciation goes to Mr Rashad Nabiyev, President of the Azerbaijan Judo Federation, for the outstanding organisation of these championships, setting an excellent example through exceptional professionalism and high standards.
I also thank our distinguished guests, partners and IJF ambassadors for their valuable contribution to our ever-growing international judo family.
Congratulations to all the world champions and medallists, and my sincere thanks to everyone who contributed to the success of these championships.”
