It's hard to think about work and play when Russians and Ukrainians are dying in war. I don’t understand how you can go to celebrate something, have fun, ignore what is happening, when the motherland, killing the citizens of a neighboring country, destroys itself.
Life is clearly divided into "Before" and "After".
There was a distinct feeling that this is the beginning of the end of the Russian state. I didn't think it would come so soon.

In the book "Diary of Nuremberg" by the American psychologist Gustav Gilbert, who observed the leaders of Nazi Germany during and after the court sessions, there is a quote by Goering about the war. Gilbert writes that Goering commented on the likelihood of attracting people to war in different conditions: democracy, fascism or, for example, communism.
Here are Herman Goering 's quotes from Gilbert 's book:
"Of course, the common people do not want war; neither in Russia, nor in England, nor in America, nor in Germany. This is understandable. But, in the end, the leaders of the country determine the policy and it is always easy to lead people, whether it is a democracy or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship," Goering said.
Gilbert replied that there is a difference when in a democracy people choose a government that declares war.
Goering commented: "It doesn't matter whether the government was chosen by the voice of the people, the population can always be attracted to the war. It's easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and condemn the pacifists for their lack of patriotism and putting the country in danger. It works the same in any country."
