Indian markets were flat/muted in early trade.
Brent crude remains above $100/barrel due to escalating Middle East tensions.
Nifty and Sensex are near 3-month lows and have fallen around 3.1% in seven of the last eight sessions.
Rising crude is negative for India because it can increase the import bill, inflation and pressure on economic growth and corporate profits.
Investors are also cautious ahead of U.S. inflation data and the Federal Reserve policy decision next week.
9 of 16 major sectors were positive, but gains remained limited.
