❇️ Sensex–Nifty fall Today: Key Reasons
Brent crude crossed $108/barrel, raising inflation, GDP growth and corporate earnings concerns for India.
US 10-year bond yield touched 4.98%, close to the crucial 5% level, increasing fears of foreign fund outflows from emerging markets.
US–Iran conflict intensified, while Houthi advances in Yemen increased fears of further disruption to global oil supplies.
Global markets were weak — US indices declined and Asian markets such as Nikkei, Kospi and Taiwan fell sharply.
Fed rate-hike fears increased after stronger US inflation/PPI data; markets expect possible action around 16 September.
Rupee weakened to ₹95.79/$, adding pressure on imported inflation, especially crude oil.
Strong IPO activity may also be pulling liquidity away from the secondary equity market.
Overall: High crude oil + rising US yields + Middle East escalation are the three biggest reasons behind today’s sharp fall.
