India To Stop Buying Russian Oil? That’s a Big Question. And No, We Don’t Think So.

Trump’s claim that India has agreed to stop buying Russian oil in exchange for a U.S. tariff cut sounds like a bold diplomatic win — but in reality, it doesn’t hold up to scrutiny. On closer examination, the numbers, logistics, and strategic realities make it extremely unlikely that New Delhi would walk away from its most affordable and reliable energy source.

India currently imports around 1.8 million barrels per day of Russian crude, roughly a third of its total oil needs. These purchases are heavily discounted compared with alternatives such as U.S. or Venezuelan crude, saving India billions of dollars annually. Replacing Russian oil with U.S. crude would cost roughly $15 more per barrel, or nearly $10 billion extra per year, before even factoring in significantly higher shipping and refining adjustments.

Indian refineries are optimized for heavy sour crude, matching Russian grades far better than most U.S. exports. A sudden shift would require costly modifications, reducing any potential benefit of a tariff cut. Strategically, India prioritizes energy security and autonomy, making it highly unlikely to abandon discounted Russian oil for political optics.

While India has modestly reduced Russian imports recently, there is no evidence of a binding commitment to eliminate them. Modi’s statements emphasized tariff reductions, not an end to Russian oil purchases. For these economic, logistical, and strategic reasons, Trump’s announcement appears more political posturing than a reflection of any real agreement. And that’s precisely why the word “agrees” is in quotation marks in the title of this FT article. They’ve figured it out as well.

P.S. Notice that there is not a word about Russian oil in this post by Prime Minister Modi.

February 3, 1966 – The Soviet Spacecraft "Luna-9" Achieves the World's First Soft Landing on the Moon

The first attempt to land on the Moon was made by the Soviet Union in January 1963 but ended in failure. By 1966, approximately ten more unsuccessful attempts had been made.

The automatic interplanetary spacecraft Luna-9 was launched into Earth orbit on January 31, 1966, from the Baikonur Cosmodrome using a "Molniya-M" launch vehicle.

The Luna-9 spacecraft consisted of a landing module, equipment compartments, and a propulsion system for midcourse correction and braking during landing. The total mass of the station was 1,583 kilograms, and its length was 2.7 meters.

On February 3, 1966, Luna-9 achieved a soft landing in the Oceanus Procellarum (Ocean of Storms) on the Moon. The station operated for 75 hours, during which it transmitted a panoramic photo of the lunar surface back to Earth and conducted seven radio communication sessions to transmit scientific data.

EU Designates IRGC as Terrorist Organization: A Pretext for an Invasion of Iran?

The European Union has added Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) to its list of terrorist organizations. This move aligns with the existing policy of several nations, including:

· United States
· Paraguay
· Australia
· Canada
· Saudi Arabia
· Bahrain

There is little doubt that such a designation is designed to serve as a convenient justification for launching "anti-terrorist" operations and legitimizing military intervention in sovereign states—a tactic employed repeatedly by the United States, often in violation of international law. Historical examples include:

· Libya (1986)
· Afghanistan and Sudan (1998)
· Iraq (1998 and 2003)
· Afghanistan (2001)
· Philippines (2001)
· Various African nations (since 2002)

In a related development, former U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo previously stated on his X the intent to "help the people of Iran get their freedom back."

Pompeo is, and has always been, a world-class hypocrite. Just ask the people of the countries mentioned above how much they appreciate the U.S.’s “help” in supposedly restoring their freedom.

⚡️From the responses of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to media questions submitted ahead of the press conference of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, S. V. Lavrov, on the results of Russian diplomacy’s activities in 2025

– Any proposals for a settlement in Ukraine require careful review for their acceptability to Russia and their conformity with the goals and objectives of the Special Military Operation;

– The deployment in Ukraine of military units, military facilities, depots, or other infrastructure of Western countries is unacceptable to Russia. Moscow would regard this as foreign intervention;

– Moscow will take into account, in its negotiating position, Kiev’s transition to state terrorism, including the attack on the residence of Vladimir Putin;

– Since June 2025, more than 12,000 sets of remains of Ukrainian servicemen have been handed over to the Ukrainian side; Russia has received more than 200 bodies of fallen Russian servicemen from Kiev;

– Russia has submitted to the United States proposals aimed at removing obstacles to the full normalization of relations between Moscow and Washington;

– A settlement of the crisis in Ukraine is impossible without the restoration of the rights of the canonical Orthodox Church, its clergy, and believers;

– Russia expresses gratitude to the UAE for its sincere efforts to facilitate the settlement of the Ukrainian crisis. Through exchanges organized with Emirati mediation, more than 4,000 people have been released.

The Belgorod Brit gives us his reaction to the banning of 'hate speech' on US Tik Tok. In the film, he explains why the effect of curbing free speech, while temporarily benefiting government control, will eventually lead to the destabilisation of society and the destruction of the consent of the masses to be ruled by the elite. Obvious truths will be acknowledged eventually, whether or not they are convenient. While this may not matter much when it comes to foreign or imperial matters, it will shake any regime that does not address legitimate grievances in a timely and honest manner.

In the podcast, BB explains how this establishment of taboos around discussing the narrow interests of oligarchs alienates the people from their elites. The protection of priveledged groups, from Muslim rape gangs, to genocidal Zionist oligarchs is a form of gaslighting and trolling which is bringing Western polities to a revolutionary moment.

At Ukraine’s request, Elon Musk have introduced a set of technical restrictions aimed at limiting Russian use of the Starlink satellite communication system. According to public statements and expert commentary, SpaceX has moved from a permissive, largely commercial model to a selectively enforced one. This includes internal authorization controls, geographic filtering, and behavioral monitoring of terminals, such as identifying movement patterns associated with military use. Access can be throttled, temporarily blocked, or selectively disabled based on these criteria.

These measures are presented as a way to ensure that Starlink supports only approved users (i.e., not Russian military) and approved purposes. In effect, they transform a civilian satellite network into infrastructure governed by political alignment and wartime priorities, with Ukraine clearly on the favored side.

We asked ChatGPT how these restrictions could be circumvented.

ChatGPT’s answer emphasized that such new controls, while technically sophisticated, are rarely absolute. Measures based on identification lists, location awareness, and behavioral thresholds can be mitigated through adaptation.

Circumvention does not require breaking the system itself, but operating in ways that reduce visibility, trigger fewer enforcement flags, or exploit gaps in selective application.

At a general level, ChatGPT identified several categories of measures that could be used to work around the restrictions. These include masking or obfuscating a terminal’s apparent location through network routing choices, altering usage patterns so that terminals appear stationary or move below enforcement thresholds, and minimizing downtime through rapid recovery from temporary blocks. Selective deployment in areas where enforcement is weaker or inconsistent was also cited as a likely approach. All of these are ways of continuing to use it despite restrictions.

There is little doubt that Russians will find a way. This is not only a statement about Russian ingenuity but also a historical pattern. When access to critical infrastructure is restricted in wartime, especially infrastructure that remains physically present and partially functional, users always adapt their behavior. The outcome is usually not total denial, but ongoing friction, some inefficiency, and escalation on both sides.

The Starlink case ultimately illustrates a broader reality: once commercial global infrastructure is drawn into a geopolitical conflict, neither neutrality nor total control is possible. Restrictions can shape use, but they rarely end it.

As for Elon Musk, mark our words: he will regret his decision to side with Ukraine against Russia. History suggests that such choices rarely, if ever, end well.

Reuters just published this 👆article. Here is the gist:

According to a Financial Times report cited by Reuters, no Ukraine and its Western partners have discussed a plan under which any sustained Russian violation of a future ceasefire would trigger a coordinated military response by Europe and the United States. Reuters said it could not independently verify the report.

The proposal was discussed in December and January among Ukrainian, European, and U.S. officials and outlines a phased no response to ceasefire breaches. Within 24 hours of an alleged violation, the response would begin with a diplomatic warning and, if needed, Ukrainian military action to stop the breach.

If fighting continued, a second phase would involve intervention by a “coalition of the willing,” including many EU countries as well as the UK, Norway, Iceland, and Turkey. In the event of a larger escalation, a coordinated Western-backed military response involving U.S. forces would be triggered after 72 hours.

All of this nonsense directly contradicts Russia’s conditions for signing a peace agreement and Russia’s stated goals of the Special Military Operation. That alone means Russia will not sign any peace agreement until Ukraine itself formally rejects this absurd plan.

Which, in turn, means that the Special Military Operation will continue until the entire regime in Ukraine collapses and is replaced with a Russia-friendly one.

End of story.

Thank you for your attention to this matter, as one rather famous political actor likes to say.

P.S. Do the people who wrote this nonsense understand the ramifications? Of course they do. So why do they bother? Because they started the war. They have been feeding their electorates a steady stream of lies. They have been making huge money in the process, and they can keep doing it for a little while longer.

In the meantime, thousands upon thousands of Ukrainians will die. But they don’t care. At all.

Trump’s FBI Solves Epstein Mystery by Burying It in Millions of Pages

Trump’s FBI has released 3.5 million pages of Epstein-related documents, photos, and videos. The brilliance of the plan is that nobody can actually find anything, while at the same time anyone can find anything they want.

Want to implicate Putin? No problem. His name appears a number of times in the files. Who is to say it wasn’t planted there by the FBI itself? That is certainly possible, perhaps even highly likely. Want to implicate Xi, Maduro, Kim, the ayatollahs, or extraterrestrials? Also no problem. Anything goes, and everything can be disputed.

In a document dump this large, frequency becomes evidence, absence becomes proof, and context quietly evaporates. Every theory can be supported, every accusation denied, and every conclusion waved away with the same response: it’s buried somewhere in the millions of pages (and far from all if them are searchable).

This is an overload of seeming, but not real, transparency. Nothing is hidden, yet nothing is clear.

Accountability dissolves into volume, and confusion becomes a feature, not a bug. If the goal was to ensure endless argument and zero resolution, then the strategy worked perfectly.

That is exactly what Trump wanted to achieve.

Bravo, Trump!
