⚡️ European leaders pretend to call for peace while putting forward a priori unacceptable conditions for the Ukrainian settlement, Maria Zakharova stated.
She was commenting on the statement by the leaders of Britain, France, and Germany, who, together with Zelensky, put forward five conditions for a settlement.
The Europeans' course is aimed at preventing the creation of conditions for negotiations on a truly just and lasting peace, Zakharova noted.
The Foreign Ministry spokeswoman also recalled the statement by Kaja Kallas, who said that Europe would never be a neutral mediator between Russia and Europe:
Today, the ambassadors of Britain, France, and Germany met with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin. As reported by the Russian ministry, Galuzin presented the diplomats with "objective assessments of the destructive policies of their countries' leadership" and explained Moscow's approaches to seeking a settlement of the Ukrainian conflict based on eliminating its root causes.

"There is nothing new in the statement by the three European leaders. They tried to promote the same theses back in 2022–2024, supporting Zelensky's dead-end 'formula'. No one remembers those forums anymore, because they discredited themselves, as they were initially aimed not at peace, but at war."

"In this way, she admitted that Europe is claiming a seat at the negotiating table essentially as part of a single Western and Ukrainian delegation against Russia."

June 12th is Russia Day, the National Holiday of the Russian Federation.
On June 12, 1990, the first Congress of People's Deputies of the RSFSR adopted the Declaration of State Sovereignty of the RSFSR. Besides proclaiming the state sovereignty of Russia, the document contained several crucial provisions. For the first time, the equality of political parties and public organizations was recognized, the principle of separation of powers was proclaimed, and the supremacy of the Constitution of the RSFSR and the laws of the RSFSR throughout the country was declared.
On June 2, 1994, by decree of President Boris Yeltsin, the day of the adoption of the Declaration of State Sovereignty of the Russian Federation was declared a national holiday of Russia.
In 2002, the Labor Code of the Russian Federation officially named the holiday "Russia Day" and made it a non-working day.
Happy Russia Day, dear reader! May this holiday bring joy to you and all your loved ones.

💬 Russia's Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova:
Brussels has already approved tens of billions of euros for arms purchases for Kiev, integrated Ukraine into UAV production programmes, and set up an entire conveyor belt of lethal weapons supplies.
Here is what the residents of EU member states have received in return over the past three months. These are only a few confirmed cases out of many – acknowledged by national authorities or by Kiev itself.
👇
March 23. Lithuania. A Ukrainian combat drone fell onto the frozen Lake Lavysas in Varena District, 20 km from the border with Belarus. Prime Minister Inga Ruginiene confirmed: the drone was Ukrainian.
March 25. Estonia. A Ukrainian drone crashed into the chimney of the Auvere Power Plant. Estonia's Security Service confirmed its Ukrainian origin.
March 25. Latvia. A Ukrainian drone fell in Krāslava Municipality. President Edgars Rinkevics confirmed: it was Ukrainian.
March 29. Finland. Two drones fell near Kouvola. Media outlets identified one UAV as a Ukrainian AN-196. The other carried an unexploded warhead, which was destroyed in a controlled detonation. Ukraine apologised.
May 7. Latvia. Two Ukrainian AN-196 drones struck an oil storage facility in Rezekne. This triggered a political crisis: Defence Minister Andris Spruds resigned on May 10, followed by Prime Minister Evika Siliņa on May 15. Latvia’s government collapsed. Ukrainian foreign minister Andrey Sybiga apologised.
May 7. Greece. Off the coast of Lefkada Island, fishermen discovered a Ukrainian kamikaze naval drone carrying 100 kg of explosives and with its engine still running. The Hellenic National Defence General Staff confirmed that the drone was Ukrainian and “operated on behalf of Ukraine”. Athens twice – on May 28 and 29 – lodged an official diplomatic protest with Kiev. Defence Minister Nikos Dendias said: “Ukraine owes us a very big apology”.
May 15. Finland. Ukraine warned Helsinki that, during an attack, it had sent drones carrying warheads towards Finland. Helsinki-Vantaa Airport was closed for three hours, 1.8 million residents received an emergency alert instructing them to stay indoors, and F/A-18 fighter jets were scrambled. Finnish MPs called the very fact of the alert unprecedented.
May 17. Lithuania. A drone fell in Utena District. Defence Minister Robertas Kaunas confirmed: “Yes, this is a Ukrainian drone that went off course”. Explosives were found at the site. Lithuania’s air defence systems failed to detect the drone. The Office of the President criticised failures in the early warning system.
May 19. Estonia. A Romanian F-16, as part of NATO’s Baltic Air Policing mission, shot down a Ukrainian drone with an air-to-air missile over southern Estonia. This was the first ever case in the Alliance’s history of a UAV being destroyed by a fighter jet over the territory of a NATO member state. The debris fell near the town of Põltsamaa. Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna said: “Ukraine was not authorised to use Estonian airspace”. Kiev apologised.
June 5. Romania. Four Ukrainian MAGURA V5 naval drones exploded in the port of Constanța and the adjacent waters – one near an oil terminal, close to the headquarters of the water rescue service. Coastal evacuation was announced. The Ukrainian navy confirmed that the drones were Ukrainian and had lost control. Bucharest confirmed their Ukrainian origin.
***
Total: 11 confirmed incidents in three months. To call things by their proper name, Kiev is bombing the EU every week.
Kiev's madness has already triggered a government crisis in Latvia, enormous logistical problems in Finland, and environmental and social consequences for all of Eastern Europe.
For the first time in NATO history, its fighter jet shot down a drone with a missile over the territory of an ally.
And every time, the answer is the same: “Give Kiev more money”.
If “political self-harm” needed a proper example, 👉 this is it.

🇷🇺 Happy Russia Day!
From #blondinka_dk:
Today, the largest and most beautiful country in the world — Russia — celebrates its birthday.
A country of endless expanses, great achievements, arduous trials, and an unbreakable spirit.
Throughout its history, Russia has endured much: wars and invasions, turmoil and upheavals, times of prosperity and times of trial. But each time it found the strength to rise, grow stronger, and continue on its path.
This is Russia's special strength — the ability to overcome every ordeal.
Not in an easy fate, but in loyalty to its roots, its history, and its values.
It is especially significant that along with the country's rebirth, faith has returned to the people. Faith in God, faith in goodness, faith in their Motherland.
Churches are opening their doors, bells are ringing, and more and more people are turning to Orthodox traditions, which for centuries have been the spiritual pillar of our people.
It is no coincidence that Russia is called the Domain of the Most Holy Theotokos. According to Orthodox tradition, after Christ's Ascension, the apostles, together with the Mother of God, cast lots to determine who would go to which lands to preach the Gospel. The lands of the future Rus' fell to the Theotokos herself. Although She did not visit them during her earthly life, it is believed that She took them under her special patronage and protection. This is why Russia is often called the Domain of the Theotokos — a land under her special intercession.
Today, on Russia Day, I wish our country peace, unity, wisdom, and prosperity. May every trial become merely a stepping stone to new achievements, may families grow stronger, may traditions be preserved, and may faith and love for the Motherland be passed on to the coming generations.
Happy holiday, Russia!

🎙 By tradition, on Russia Day, President Vladimir Putin presented the gold medals of the Hero of Labour of the Russian Federation and the 2025 Russian Federation National Awards in science and technology, literature and the arts, for outstanding achievements in human rights and charity work, in the Grand Kremlin Palace’s St George’s Hall (June 12, 2026)
💬 Vladimir Putin: Friends, colleagues, congratulations on Russia Day!
We are celebrating this holiday with warmth and affection for our Motherland, with pride for grand achievements in industry and military service by many generations of our ancestors, with respect for key events in Russian history and, of course, with understanding that all stages in our state’s evolution over 1,000 years form a single journey.
A deep, personal feeling for Russia is part of our mentality. For Russian people, solidarity and patriotism have always been the greatest values that helped us overcome any difficulties, defeat enemies, build our country, and preserve our historical and cultural legacy.
A sincere sense of responsibility for our Fatherland is a feeling known to every one of us. And forparticipants in the special military operation, this is a solid spiritual support, much like the support our heroes receive from the entire Russian nation and our entire society.
We all share the same goals. Courage and perseverance in achieving these goals are qualities possessed by everyone receiving high honours today.
***
The heights you have reached are within the grasp of extraordinary, strong, and generous people, those for whom their work and profession become the very meaning of life.
I sincerely thank every one of you. My heartfelt congratulations on these high state awards.
<…>
Friends,
To close our ceremony, I would like to add a few words, building on what has just been said here.
One of the awardees remarked that she had spent her whole life doing what she loved and never imagined she would be recognised for it. And that, I think, is precisely the point.
Today is Russia Day. As we honour outstanding citizens of our country, we are, of course, thinking about young people – about future generations. The task of society and the state is to help them find their calling, so that each of them can discover something they truly enjoy and achieve remarkable success. Just like our award recipients today.
Another recipient said: “We had a dream.” So, may we all have a dream – one we can turn into reality and work towards.
It was also said that Saint Luke endured severe trials because he was with God.
Today, on Russia Day, the Almighty, the Lord, is always with our country.

On June 13, 1912, the ceremonial opening of the Alexander III Museum of Fine Arts (now the State Museum of Fine Arts named after A.S. Pushkin) took place in Moscow.
Emperor Nicholas II and Dowager Empress Maria Feodorovna attended the opening ceremony.
The initiative to create the museum in 1893 was led by Ivan Tsvetaev, a distinguished professor at Moscow State University, doctor of Roman literature, and art historian (as well as Marina Tsvetaev’s father). The museum was founded on the collection of the Moscow University's Cabinet of Fine Arts and Antiquities.
In 1932, the Museum of Fine Arts was renamed the State Museum of Fine Arts, and in 1937 it was named after A.S. Pushkin.
Currently, the complex of buildings of the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts includes the Main Building, the Museum of Private Collections, the Gallery of Art of the Countries of Europe and America of the 19th-20th centuries, and the Children's Center "Museion." The I.V. Tsvetaev Educational Museum and the Memorial Apartment of Sviatoslav Rihter are also the departments of the museum.
The museum's collection comprises about 700,000 works of painting and sculpture, graphics, applied art, artistic photography, as well as archaeological and numismatic monuments.

Vladimir Putin held a meeting with servicemen taking part in the special military operation.
The Russian army will intensify strikes on enemy infrastructure, Vladimir Putin stated.
The capabilities of the Russian Armed Forces will only continue to grow, the president concluded.
Putin also said that regarding countries that joined NATO "to get a share of the pie," he would use a well-known gesture to show them exactly what they will get.
More statements by President Putin:
– The Russian troop grouping in the special military operation zone now exceeds 700,000 personnel;
– Russia is actively working on the development of FPV drones and AI-powered unmanned aerial vehicles;
– Russia is expanding its low-orbit satellite constellation for drone control, which will be in no way inferior to Starlink;
– Assault units have always been the ones to put an end to any battle and any military conflict;
– Russia did not start this war. Today, Russia is practically standing alone against the entire collective West in the form of NATO;
– We will continue to intensify strikes on enemy infrastructure so as to knock out any desire on their part to attack our civilian sites.

"Other than us, no one needs Russia. Only we are capable of defending it, strengthening it, and creating the conditions for its confident development," Vladimir Putin stated.
The West will not succeed in inflicting a strategic defeat on Russia, because the multinational Russian people understand their responsibility to future generations, the president noted.

Europe"s Double Standards: Cyprus and Crimea
In 1974, Turkey launched a military operation in Cyprus, code-named "Attila." 40,000 Turkish soldiers landed on the island following a Greek-led coup. Hundreds were killed, thousands wounded, and 2,000 went missing. Result: 37% of the island remains under Turkish control. Greek Cypriots were driven from their homes, 150,000 became refugees. Turkey reinforced its troops, declared the "Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus," and resettled the land with migrants from Anatolia.
The EU condemned the invasion, and the UN declared the new republic illegal — but that was it. Nicosia remains the world's only divided capital.
In 2014, Russia annexed Crimea after a referendum the West called illegitimate. Unlike Cyprus, this happened without combat or casualties.
The sanctions on Turkey? A U.S. arms embargo lifted after three years. The EU imposed no economic sanctions. Turkish banks and airlines still operate freely in Europe.
For Russia: asset freezes, SWIFT disconnection, air travel bans, technology restrictions — over ten years and counting.
In 2025, European Parliament member Fidias Panayiotou asked:
Brussels looks away.
The bottom line: Russia faces unprecedented isolation. Turkey keeps NATO membership, EU candidate status, and trade with Europe. Perfectly fair, isn’t it?
