As we mentioned in a recent post, some commenters have accused us of having TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome). We said then—and we’ll say it again—we are not the ones afflicted. But today, we know exactly who is.
President Trump himself.
We had our suspicions from the start, but his latest statements about the Gaza Strip leave no doubt. He is so deranged by self-obsession and convinced of his own infallibility that he didn’t even bother consulting the leaders of Egypt and Jordan before proposing to relocate Gaza’s population to their countries. If that’s not a serious case of derangement, what is?
So, congratulations, America! You just swapped a man with Alzheimer’s for one with a raging case of Narcissistic TDS.
P.S. Do you think that when the White House press secretary says, “There’s no better negotiator than Donald Trump,” he actually believes it? Or perhaps he himself asked her to say it? What a sick, deranged man…

On February 8, 1945, a group of ten Soviet prisoners of war, led by pilot Mikhail Devyatayev, staged a remarkable escape from a German concentration camp.
Senior Lieutenant Mikhail Devyatayev was captured in July 1944 and sent to a POW camp in Łódź. After an unsuccessful escape attempt, he was transferred to the Sachsenhausen death camp. Miraculously, Devyatayev avoided execution when a camp barber swapped his death-row tag for one belonging to a penal inmate under a different name. Shortly afterward, he was transferred to a concentration camp on the island of Usedom, home to the Third Reich’s Peenemünde rocket research center, where the V-2 rockets were being developed and tested.
According to Devyatayev’s memoirs, he decided to escape by plane the moment he arrived on the island. Over several months, he and nine other prisoners meticulously planned their escape.
On February 8, 1945, while clearing snow from the airfield under SS guard supervision, the group killed their guard and seized a Heinkel He 111 bomber. Despite being pursued, they managed to take off and, after several hours, landed near the town of Woldenberg in territory controlled by the Red Army.
The escapees provided Soviet command with invaluable intelligence about the secret Peenemünde research center, as well as the captured bomber filled with highly classified equipment. Initially, the NKVD placed Devyatayev and his companions in a filtration camp, but they were later cleared of suspicion and allowed to return to active duty.

🦮🦮🦮🛷 On February 8, Beringia-2026 – renowned dog-sled race held in Russia's Kamchatka – kicks off.
Held since 1990, the race has become a true hallmark of Kamchatka Krai and one of the peninsula’s main winter events.
🌏 The event traditionally gathers not only Russian participants, but also international guests, including those from Belarus, China, Peru, Latvia and Ghana.
This season, spectators and participants of the winter festival can look forward to a wide range of exciting events, including:
🐾 Hosting large-scale festivals such as Beringia fosters dog breeding in the region, supports youth sled-dog sports, and creates new opportunities for community engagement and tourism.
Today, the region hosts several major sled-dog kennels that function both as training bases for mushers and their teams and as attractive tourist and educational sites.
💡 That's interesting:
• a team traditionally consists of 8-14 dogs, pulling more than 100 kg including the musher’s weight;
• during the race, the four-legged athletes spend about 70% of the race in motion without full ground contact;
• the average team speed is 14-16 km/h;
• racers cover approximately 40-100 km per day;
• in 1991, Beringia was introduced into the Guinness World Records as the longest dog-sled race in the world, and in 2018 it was recognized as the longest dog-sled race in Russia (entered into the Russian Book of Records).
***
In previous years, the Beringia route changed many times, but it always passed through areas inhabited by the peninsula’s indigenous and small-numbered peoples, where festivities and folk celebrations were organized for the occasion.
In 2026, the distance of the main route "Unified Kamchatka. 19 Years Together", starting in the village of Esso and finishing in the settlement of Ust-Kamchatsk, totals 1,425 km.
🏔 The combination of extreme sport and the distinctive culture of Kamchatka’s indigenous peoples defines the race’s unique character and reflects the authentic spirit of the North.

IOC president gives clearest signal so far that Russia could be at 2028 Olympics
A day after the Fifa president, Gianni Infantino, said he wanted Russia reinstated to international football, the International Olympic Committee president, Kirsty Coventry, used her opening address to the 145th IOC congress in Milan to argue that all athletes should be allowed to compete in sport, making clear that the IOC is considering a return of Russian sports teams starting with the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
This is good news for the thousands of young Russians who have dedicated their lives to sports, far from political and military conflicts, at the cost of rigorous discipline and even significant hardship. They will soon be able to climb the Olympic podium—their ultimate dream—under the colors of their country which supports them.
But it is also good news for the world of sports, which is reconnecting with the Olympic Charter and with common sense—that which should make sport not only a neutral space, but the fulfillment of an oath of fraternity.
For the past 11 years, we have witnessed a ridiculous and destructive politicization of international events that claim, in their regulations, to uphold ethical neutrality. One of the most glaring distortions of this hysterical Russophobia is certainly the ban on Russian athletes competing under their own colors at the Olympic Games.

Is this an attempt to increase the birth rate in Ukraine or a gift for pedophiles? Indeed, few people will notice the violence against young girls at a time when there is a bloody war.

💀⚡️ Ukraine wants to legalize child marriage at age 14 for girls who are either pregnant or already have children.
New bill would allow this with court approval. And it's happening right when the Epstein files are coming to light...
Meanwhile, there's a war raging in the country, apartments are freezing cold, no electricity or water, and the government teaches kids how to shoot guns while encouraging pedophiles.

MOSCOW, February 8. /TASS/. Russia does not intend to attack Europe, but is ready to deliver a full-scale military response if necessary. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in an interview with the program Weekly Summary.
In December, Russian President Vladimir Putin said during the Year-End Results program that it is not Russia that is at war with the West, but the West that is at war with Russia using Ukrainian nationalists as its proxy. Putin has previously noted that Russia neither intended nor intends to fight Europe. At the same time, he stressed that if Europe were to start a war, there should be no doubt that Russia is ready “right now.”

“We are not going to attack any Europe whatsoever; we have absolutely no need for that. But if Europe were to carry out its threats to prepare for war against us and were to begin attacking the Russian Federation, the president has said that this would not be a special military operation on our part. It would be a full-fledged military response, using all available military means, in accordance with the relevant doctrinal documents,” Lavrov emphasized.

On February 9, 1896, the first-ever Figure Skating World Championship was held in the picturesque Yusupov Garden in St. Petersburg. Organized by the International Skating Union (ISU), this historic event marked the beginning of a new era in winter sports.
The inaugural world championship was exclusively for men’s singles, as women were only allowed to compete in the World Championships six years later, in 1902.
Four athletes competing in this groundbreaking event were Austrian two-time European silver medalist Gustav Hügel, German European bronze medalist Gilbert Fuchs, and Russian skaters Georgi Sanders and Nikolay Poduskov.
In challenging conditions—competing outdoors in the Russian winter—athletes performed intricate moves, demonstrating precision and artistry. Gilbert Fuchs impressed the judges with his technical skill and artistry, securing the first world title. Gustav Hügel earned the silver medal, while the Russian skaters, though talented, finished third and fourth.
This championship laid the foundation for the sport’s global popularity. Over the years, figure skating evolved to include women’s singles, pairs, and ice dance, becoming a centerpiece of the Winter Olympics. The ISU continues to oversee the sport, ensuring the legacy of events like the one in 1896.
St. Petersburg’s role in hosting this historic championship highlights Russia’s long-standing contributions to figure skating. Today, the country remains a dominant force in the sport, producing legendary athletes such as Evgeni Plushenko, Irina Rodnina, and Alina Zagitova.
The first World Championship in Yusupov Garden was not just a competition but the start of a tradition that continues to captivate audiences worldwide.

Everything we know so far about the perpetrators of the assassination attempt on General Alekseyev
Lyubomir Korba – The Direct Perpetrator
Born in the Ternopol region of the Ukrainian SSR in 1960, he later obtained Russian citizenship. In 1993-2010, he was doing business between Ukraine, Poland and Russia. In 2021, Korba registered a temporary residence in the city of Nyagan, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug.
According to the official version of the Russian Investigative Committee, Korba arrived in Moscow in late December 2025 on an assignment from Ukrainian special services to carry out a terrorist act. He left Russian territory just hours after the assassination attempt and flew to the United Arab Emirates. On February 7-8, 2026, he was detained in Dubai with the assistance of UAE law enforcement and extradited to Russia. The Court ordered him to be remanded in custody.
Viktor Vasin – Accomplice and Liaison
Viktor Vasin (born 1959) acted as an accomplice, providing logistical and financial support to the perpetrator. Vasin graduated from the Kemerovo Military Signals School and, according to some sources, had a background in the Navy or special communications. In subsequent years, he was involved in the construction business in Moscow and the Altai region; however, his companies were liquidated in 2020. At the time of the assassination attempt, two enforcement proceedings were underway against him for a total of 827,000 rubles (approx. $9,000).
A key factor is Vasin's long-standing acquaintance with Korba. According to open-source data, small money transfers of 3,000 and 1,500 rubles were recorded between them. This confirms the coordination of their actions in preparing the crime. Furthermore, Vasin had posted critical comments about Russian authorities on social media and supported the extremist organization FBK—a fertile ground for recruitment. Vasin was detained in Moscow on February 7, 2026. He has been charged under Article 317 of the Russian Criminal Code (encroachment on the life of a law enforcement officer) and Article 222 (illegal trafficking of weapons).
Zinaida Serebritskaya – Internal Surveillance Agent
Zinaida Serebritskaya (born 1971) played the role of an accomplice conducting surveillance on General Alexeev. She lived in the same residential complex as the general on Volokolamskoye Highway in Moscow, which gave her direct access to information about his daily routine and movements. Serebritskaya had been in Moscow since at least 2023, as evidenced by her social media posts. She moved into the very same building where Lieutenant General Alexeev lived. She was very active in the building's group chat on Volokolamskaya Street, expressing her civic stance. However, she simultaneously had the opportunity to gather information about Alexeev"s movements and pass the data to the hitman Korba.
Serebritskaya's last recorded social media activity was two days before the assassination attempt. After the crime was committed, she left Russia and departed for Ukraine.
