Look around yourself
๐Ÿ‘‰
If you too will talk to yourself in the right way, youโ€™ll not only enjoy your life more, but youโ€™ll rise higher to a new level of confidence, a new level of boldness. I read a study where researchers gave a test group of college students some special eyeglasses that turned everything upside down, totally opposite of what it should be. For the first few days of the experiment, confusion reigned. The students stumbled over the furniture, they couldnโ€™t read or write, they had to be led to class, and they could barely function. But slowly, they started adjusting. By the end of the first week, they were able to go to class on their own. They didnโ€™t need any help to get around. The researchers were intrigued so they decided to continue the experiment. After one month, the students had totally adapted. Their minds had compensated for their upside-down world, and they could read without any problem. They could write, do their homework, type on the computerโ€”all upside down.

Something similar can happen to us. If we go around with wrong mind-sets long enough, telling ourselves, โ€œWell, Iโ€™m not a good parent. Iโ€™ve made too many mistakes. Nothing good ever happens to me,โ€ just like those college students, even though itโ€™s totally backwards, and not the way God created us, our minds will eventually adapt and adjust, and we will end up living at that level.

Your world may be upside-down already. Maybe you are living far below your potential, feeling bad about yourself, lacking confidence, and wallowing in low self-esteem. Have you considered that it could be a result of what you are constantly speaking to yourself? Your internal dialogue is negative. You have to change that before anything else will change.

The healing is rain
My dream has come true
Iโ€™m walking under the rain at night
Nothing above me but the yellow light
I hold my head up high
Let the drops touch my face, touch my eyes
Open your heart, nothing is worth to hide
Breath, breath, itโ€™s all about being you

Silent moments have gone
Many chores have done
Chase dreams, ambitions are on
Plenty of prizes , I have won
Yet, my heart is full of pain
As my neck is rounded by chain
Tired of playing the same game
Donโ€™t know (that) the healing is rain

A drop sneaks to my heart
Washes my tears, wipes my dark
Grants me the ecstasy of the start
Looking like a piece of art

The symphony of rain goes on
As itโ€™s orchestrated by Beethoven
My beats start dancing as I move on
That is my favourite part

zero tolerance

Meaning
If something is given zero tolerance, it won't be accepted even once.

For example
Because of the school's zero-tolerance policy, our boy was expelled for smoking just one cigarette.

How can a society based on Christian morals and forgiveness of sin have a zero-tolerance approach to petty crime?

queue up = line up
If you queue up, you join a line of people waiting for their turn to do something.

Examples
queue up When we went to the bank we had to queue up at the counter.

queue up for sth Don't you hate it when you've been queuing up for a ticket, and they run out just before you get to the counter?

I'm used to walking to school every day. Is this sentence correct?

++++++++++++++++++++
๐˜๐ž๐ฌ, ๐ข๐ญ ๐ข๐ฌ ๐œ๐จ๐ซ๐ซ๐ž๐œ๐ญ.
It means that the speaker is in the habit of walking to school everyday.

Some other examples:

I am used to sleeping at 11 every night. (I am in the habit of sleeping at 11 every night )

She is used to talking late into the night.

Used to is always followed by V+ing form unless there is another object like in the following sentence

She is used to him dropping in at any time of the day.

0๏ธโƒฃ Zero conditional
๐Ÿ‘‰ We use the zero conditional to talk about things that are always true.

โ˜„๏ธ If you heat water, it boils.
๐ŸŒ’ When the sun goes down, it gets dark.
โšฝ๏ธ If I am late for training, my coach gets angry.

We use the present simple in both clauses.
โœ๏ธ (If + present simple + present simple)

โ€”---โ€”
1๏ธโƒฃ First conditional
๐Ÿ‘‰We use the first conditional when we talk about real and possible situations or we to talk about events in the future that are likely to happen.

๐Ÿ›’Iโ€™ll go shopping on the way home if I have time.
๐ŸŒค If itโ€™s a nice day tomorrow weโ€™ll go to the beach.
โšฝ๏ธ If Arsenal win theyโ€™ll be top of the league.

๐Ÿค” Imagine this situation:
You are at home ๐Ÿ
There are rain clouds โ˜๏ธ in the sky but it is not raining.
You plan to play tennis later ๐Ÿธ๐ŸŽพ.

๐Ÿ—ฃYou could say:
โ€˜If it rains, I will not play tennisโ€™.

โœ๏ธ (If + present simple + will + infinitive)

We can also place the โ€˜ifโ€™ in the middle to mean the same thing:
โ€˜I will not play tennis if it rainsโ€™.

โ€”----
2๏ธโƒฃ Second conditional
๐Ÿ‘‰We use the second conditional to talk about unreal or impossible things.

๐Ÿ’ฐIf I won a million dollars I would buy a new house.
โœˆ๏ธ If we went to Europe, we could live in a beautiful castle.
๐Ÿค” If I won a lot of money Iโ€™d buy a big house in the country.
๐ŸŒŽ Where would you live if you could live anywhere in the world?
๐Ÿšฌ If you didnโ€™t smoke so much youโ€™d feel a lot better. (you'd=you would)

โœ๏ธ (If + past simple + would + infinitive)

โ€”---
3๏ธโƒฃ Third conditional
๐Ÿ‘‰ We use the third conditional to talk about actions in the past that did not happen. We use it to imagine a different past.
๐Ÿ”ด (It talks about the past. It's used to describe a situation that didn't happen, and to imagine the result of this situation.)will

๐Ÿ‘ฑ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธIf she had studied, she would have passed the exam.

โš ๏ธ (but, really we know she didn't study and so she didn't pass)

๐Ÿ‘€ If I had seen him at the meeting, I would have asked him.

โš ๏ธ (But he wasn't there so I didn't.)

๐ŸคขIf I hadn't eaten so much, I wouldn't have felt sick.

โš ๏ธ (but I did eat a lot, and so I did feel sick).

๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿผโ€๐Ÿ’ผHe would have been on time for the interview if he had left the house at nine.

๐Ÿ“ If I had done my assignment I would not have failed.

๐Ÿ˜ด She wouldn't have been tired if she had gone to bed earlier.

โฐ If I had had time, I would have gone to see him. But I didn't have time.

โœ๏ธ (If + past perfect + would have + past participle)
