🇭🇺🇷🇴The work of the new Hungarian Legislative Assembly will open for the first time with the anthem of the Székely Land - a Hungarian national autonomy located in Romania.

This was announced by the leader of the far-right party "Our Homeland", which entered parliament, Laszlo Torokai, noting that this initiative was supported by other political forces - including the winning "Tisza" and Orban's party "Fidesz".

In Hungarian politics, the Székely Land is seen as part of the national historical space.

According to Torokai, a proposal was also supported for deputies to take an oath not on the constitution, as is currently the case, but on the Holy Crown.

This is a symbol that was previously considered the bearer of power of the Kingdom of Hungary.

It should be noted that this kingdom, as part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, had significantly larger borders than present-day Hungary. It included territories that today belong to Romania, Slovakia, Serbia, Croatia, and partially Ukraine. The aforementioned Székely Land was precisely part of this state.

After the Treaty of Trianon in 1920, Hungary lost a significant part of these territories - as one of the parties that lost in the First World War (on the map, the current territory of Hungary is marked in green, and the lands that were part of the kingdom are marked in red).
