Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani attended today the signing ceremony of partnership contracts between the Iraqi Football Association and La Liga, the Spanish League. These contracts aim to establish the Iraqi Professional League for the 2023/2024 season. The President of the Iraqi Football Association Mr. Adnan Dirjal and the President of the Spanish League La Liga Mr. Javier Tebas Medrano signed the contracts.
The Prime Minister expressed appreciation for the Football Association's efforts to enhance Iraqi football and commended La Liga for its support and solidarity with the victims of a terrorist attack on sports fans in Balad district, Salah al-Din, seven years ago.
The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of embracing professionalism in all areas of Iraqi sports, not just football. He stressed that the government is dedicated to developing Iraqi sports across its institutions and committed to revising existing laws to ensure progress and strengthen Iraq's presence in international sports forums.
Mr. Javier Tebas Medrano expressed his appreciation for the cooperation with the Iraqi Football Association and acknowledged the collective efforts made for the success of the project. He emphasized that this initiative extends beyond football, aiming for broader cooperation to revitalize sports in Iraq.

Under the first contract, the Spanish League La Liga assumes responsibility for all marketing procedures concerning the championship. This entails close coordination between the executive management of the Iraqi Professional League and the headquarters of the Spanish League in Madrid.
The second contract, known as "Project Dream 2030," is aimed at the development of Iraqi sports talents in football, facilitated by La Liga. As part of this project, La Liga will take on the responsibility of establishing training and development courses for personnel in talent centers, which include coaches, administrators, and others. واطّلع سيادته، خلال الاجتماع، على خارطة منطقة المعامل من أجل ترسيم حدودها الإدارية، وتهيئة استملاك الأراضي الخاصة بالمنطقة.
وأوعز السيد رئيس مجلس الوزراء بالإسراع في استكمال دراسة التصميم الأساس للمنطقة، وتنفيذ مشاريع الماء الصالح للشرب والمراكز الصحية والمدارس، وتسهيل جميع الإجراءات المتعلقة بالأمر، ووضع كشوفات خاصة للمناطق التي تحتاج إلى أعمال الجهد الهندسي فيها.
ووجّه سيادته فريق الجهد الخدمي والهندسي بالعمل في (17) منطقة داخل حدود أمانة بغداد، تقع في مناطق الشعب وبوب الشام والشعلة والكاظمية والرشيد، حيث سيتوجه لها الجهد الخدمي بشكل متتابع.

Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani presided over a meeting today to discuss the service and engineering efforts in the Al-Ma'mal area of Al-Zawra district and the neighboring areas east of the canal.
The Prime Minister was provided with a briefing on the administrative boundaries and land appropriation plans for the Al-Ma'mal area.
The Prime Minister emphasized the need for swift completion of the region's basic design study, implementation of vital projects such as drinking water facilities, health centers, and schools. The Prime Minister also urged streamlining all related procedures and creating specific plans to address areas requiring engineering effort team services.
The Prime Minister instructed the Service And Engineering Effort Team to focus on (17) areas within Baghdad Municipality, including Al-Shaab, Bob Al-Sham, Al-Shula, Al-Kadhimiya, and Al-Rasheed.
Mr. Al-Sudani emphasized the timely completion of the entrances to Baghdad, particularly the Mosul-Baghdad entrance. This entrance holds significant importance in showcasing the urban image of the capital and easing the travel burden for citizens entering or leaving Baghdad.

رئيس مجلس الوزراء السيد محمد شياع السوداني يترأس اجتماع اللجنة العليا لإعمار محافظة نينوى

ترأس رئيس مجلس الوزراء السيد محمد شياع السوداني، صباح اليوم الإثنين، إجتماعاً للجنة العليا لإعمار محافظة نينوى.
وشهد الاجتماع متابعة واستعراض سير تنفيذ المشاريع الخدمية وإعمار البنى التحتية في مركز المحافظة والأقضية والنواحي.
وأشار سيادته الى الأهمية التاريخية والموقع الجغرافي الذي تمثله محافظة نينوى ومدينة الموصل، وما عاشته من معاناة إبّان الهجمة الإرهابية التي طالتها من عصابات داعش.
ووجه السيد رئيس مجلس الوزراء بأهمية الاستمرار في المتابعة والاشراف على المشاريع الخدمية الوزارية، من قبل المكتب التنفيذي لإعمار نينوى بتشكيلته وخطة عمله الجديدة. وكذلك متابعة المشاريع المحلية وصندوق الإعمار، والمشاريع الممولة من المنظمات والجهات الدولية وضرورة التنسيق بين مختلف هذه المشاريع.
كما وجّه سيادته المكتب التنفيذي لإعمار المحافظة، بوضع خطّة متكاملة لحملة وطنية شاملة لرفع الانقاض والمخلفات التي تسببت بها الاعمال الارهابية، وعمليات التحرير، وان تشمل المدينة القديمة وسط الموصل، وقضائي سنجار وتلعفر.
وأقر الاجتماع الشروع في مشروع إعمار فندقي نينوى الدولي وآشور، وكذلك مشروع إنشاء الجسرين السادس والسابع، والشارع الحولي لمدينة الموصل.
وتدارس الاجتماع أوضاع شركات الصيرفة في المحافظة، وجرى توجيه البنك المركزي العراقي بحل الإشكاليات والعقبات التي تحول دون عودة هذه الشركات الى ممارسة كامل عملها وخدماتها لمواطني المحافظة.
واكد السيد السوداني خلال الاجتماع، أن أوضاع المحافظة باتت بحاجة الى وضع رؤية اقتصادية واجتماعية مستقبلية لها، تعمل على ترسيخ الاستقرار واستدامة الازدهار الاقتصادي والمعيشي لمواطنيها بجميع أطيافهم.

Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani presided over a meeting of the Higher Committee for Nineveh Governorate's Reconstruction. The session focused on monitoring and assessing the progress of service projects and infrastructure reconstruction in the governorate's main city, districts, and sub-districts.
His Excellency highlighted the historical significance and strategic location of Nineveh Governorate, particularly the city of Mosul, while acknowledging the immense hardships endured during the terrorist onslaught by ISIS militants.
The Prime Minister emphasized the ongoing need to oversee and monitor service projects through the newly established Executive Office for Nineveh's Reconstruction, including its updated work plan. He also stressed the importance of tracking local initiatives, the reconstruction fund, and projects supported by international organizations and agencies. Coordination among these diverse projects was highlighted as a crucial aspect.
His Excellency further instructed the Executive Office for Governorate Reconstruction to formulate a comprehensive strategy for a national campaign aimed at clearing debris and waste resulting from terrorist activities and liberation operations. The plan should encompass the Old City in Mosul, as well as the districts of Sinjar and Tal Afar.
The meeting approved the commencement of the Nineveh International Hotel and Ashur Hotel reconstruction projects, along with the construction of the sixth and seventh bridges and the Ring Road in Mosul.
The meeting assessed the status of banking companies in the province, and the Central Bank of Iraq was instructed to address the issues and challenges hindering the full resumption of these companies' operations and services for the province's residents.
During the meeting, Mr. Al-Sudani emphasized the importance of formulating a forward-looking economic and social vision for the governorate. This vision aims to enhance stability and ensure long-term economic and social prosperity for all residents, regardless of their backgrounds.
