We’re one day closer to the winter holidays! ☕

To wish you all the best, we have Ekaterina Gurzheeva from ITMO’s Foundation Program, where many international students begin their path at ITMO!

Driven by curiosity 🇨🇳

Before diving into his biotechnology studies at ITMO, Xie is already exploring a new language, a new culture, and the science behind life itself. Thoughtful and passionate, he’s preparing for his Master’s by asking big questions about how humans are built. As he puts it:

Since childhood, I dreamed of being a doctor, helping people and understanding how the human body works. (…) It amazes me that every person, no matter how different, is built from the same fundamental units of life. (…) That sense of mystery and beauty is what drew me to biotechnology.
