ITMO Library has new databases available in test mode until November 23!

China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) is one of the leading online resources in China from Tongfang Knowledge Network Technology.

The following databases are offered to ITMO Library users:

📖 China Academic Journals

A full-text database of Chinese and foreign academic journals on natural and social sciences, engineering sciences and technology, agriculture, healthcare, and philosophy.

📖 China Theses and Dissertations Database

A full-text collection of doctoral and master’s theses from 787 educational institutions in China. Subject areas: natural and social sciences, engineering sciences and technology, agriculture, healthcare, etc.

📖 Academic Monographic Serials Database

Scientific works from colleges, universities, and research institutes in China on natural sciences, engineering technology, agriculture, philosophy, medicine, humanities, and social sciences.

Of the things that happened here, my favorite was that we split ourselves into three different teams that were thinking about different solutions or proposals for the next year. One of the things that we discussed was a specific organization that deals with changes in the world around us and how information is disseminated.

😂 Humor isn’t just for fun – it can be a learning tool, too! Andrey Sebrant and Yakov Somov explore how comedy can make science more engaging.

🤖 ITMO PhD students trained the popular chess algorithm MCTS to design robots in hours instead of weeks. Their findings were shared at the IROS conference.
