Meet Umer, a Master’s student studying robotics and AI. Coming from a professional background, he was looking for more than just theory – and at ITMO, he found the right environment.
[ITMO is] intellectually demanding but highly supportive. Curiosity is treated as a professional obligation, not a personality trait. You’re expected to ask questions, and discussions regularly move beyond the syllabus into open research problems. Coming from industry, this was exactly the environment I needed to grow as both an engineer and a researcher.

These international students have dedicated a year to mastering the Russian language at ITMO. In September, they will start their studies in their dream programs.
During the celebration, students received certificates of language proficiency, enjoyed poetry recitals from their peers, reminisced on shared experiences, and received heartfelt wishes from their teachers.
Wishing all our graduates the best of luck at ITMO and beyond!
