Chemistry, computer science, and a love for adventure! 🌍

Meet Mohona Jahan Momy from Bangladesh, a new arrival who is joining ITMO’s Infochemistry program.

Speaking about her journey and decision to join ITMO, Mohona says:

I completed one year [of computer science studies], but I still felt that something was missing. Then, I discovered infochemistry, a field where I could combine my knowledge of computer science with my interests in other subjects. When I returned home, I discovered the scholarship opportunities in Russia, which eventually brought me to ITMO.

Medical insurance for ITMO students πŸ₯

You can obtain a short-term health insurance policy in your country before entering Russia and gain an extended one upon your arrival. You can also sign up for options offered by ITMO (Renaissance) or choose another insurance company in St. Petersburg.

πŸ”Ž When obtaining an insurance policy, pay attention to:
⚫️The type of insurance – for international students
⚫️The coverage area – St. Petersburg and Leningrad Oblast
⚫️The policy coverage – the lowest-priced versions include only repatriation, while the basic set tends to cover emergency medical care and dental care
⚫️The date of activation – not all insurance policies are valid immediately; some of them take effect five days or two weeks after payment

πŸ’Έ The price range may differ. Here’s an example from Renaissance insurance:
⚫️Emergency help β€” 4,900 rubles/year
⚫️Full coverage – 15,000 rubles/year
