Speeding past the competition! 🏎

In the student spotlight this week is Beyzanur Ünlü, an ITMO student from Türkiye and a big fan of Formula 1.

As a newcomer to ITMO, she tells us about her journey and adapting to the new scene. Looking forward to her studies here, she says:

“What also attracted me was the university’s practical approach to programming and its emphasis on innovation and project-based learning. ITMO is a modern environment where you can actually build things, develop your skills, and grow alongside talented people.”

How does media become lost? 🎬

Not all works of culture are archived and preserved forever. Many cherished films, TV shows, or others bits of media become lost, though sometimes they have a second life thanks to the efforts of online enthusiasts.

For this year’s World Day for Audiovisual Heritage, we’ve dug into unique Russian lost media: from classic literature to Soviet animation to modern-day sitcoms.
