and the house search intensified! from zandaam, amsterdam, to quite a few viewings in haarlem ,we stopped the remote viewings and signed up for a website that would immediately message us when a new property became available in funda that matched our filters

we even dressed up as spooky homeless people but it didn't work out, no leads for apartments :(
we learned the hard way that people were outbidding on rentals (!!) the asking price, plus xto not having a job spooked a lot of landlords because when two people are renting they expect them to have 5x the salary of the monthly rent price (!!)

- booked our airbnb in almere seeing that two weeks that we got at the hotel weren't going to be enough to find an apartment...🏠
- thijmen & fabiënne hosted us for a welcome to NL dinner with mushroom & meatball stamppot as well as showing us the proper way to eat stroopwafel by placing it on top of a tea mug🥺
- tried herring for the first time and to the surprise of no-one xto loved it while i did not...🐟
- eating out every meal was really annoying but we got to try local dutch eateries in almere to get a sense of what people here actually eat like... (not tasty)🥗
