- first photos of my dutch lunch art. hopefully you can see how my sandwiches evolve over the months at Q42 🍞
- xto's mum freaked out that our house became vacant because the previous tenant died in it, so she told us that we MUST burn some incense in order to farewell to the spirit 🙏
- i also received the hearteye prototype at work! as a SWE it was really fun to work on a hardware project ❤️

2023年11月14日

- the first upgrade we did to the apartment was: a new shower head. we might have been sleeping on an air mattress but at least we could minimise some of the meltdowns of living in an old apartment 🚿

- not sure about the old tenant's spirit but our new apartment did have constant visitors: our neighbors' orange cats. if we left our door slightly open for a sec they'd come right up.

they were two of them. one stayed in our inner courtyard observing that there were no intruders, whilst the other one would wonder around the town until sunset when it would come back. i miss them so much, they were so friendly and cute 😺.

2023年11月16日~18日

- japan truly destroyed my expectations for reliability of the public transit because nothing is gonna beat it even if the dutch one is one of the better ones 😭
- i learned i could get free dinner by going to these android meetups in amsterdam 🍜
- we got an electric heater as an addition to the home radiators because our bedroom was COLD AF even when setting the temp high 🥶
- haarlem is cute and with nice cafés! ☕️
- daydreaming how the apartment could look like once we received the 8m³ we shipped from japan 📦

2023年11月19日

what started as a normal sunday with a cute stroll around the town and a cute coffee date with a new friend we made in town ended up on an ikea run that upgraded our living situation dramatically: we got a sofa bed! no more air mattress. and the box of the sofa even become our dinning table 🥵

what started as a simple "oh i have a car, i can help you guys in any ikea run you might need" ended up on a "it's 15h and ikea closes at 18h, do you think we can go and get a sofa bed?" (i had already researched and agreed with xto which one we wanted)

so yeah, bless @raul_1498 our saviour 🙏
