Choose what should I write about today)

I will share everything with you, so don't worry. There are many things coming up:
- Tips on IELTS
- Books for IELTS
- Sat
- Application to US🇺🇸
Most of you chose IELTS, so here we are ...

или How I got 7.5 from the first try.

Ielts isn't actually difficult exam if you know the RIGHT way. It is not an indicator of your ENGLISH knowledge, but shows how you are prepared for the exam. Despite living in English speaking country or knowing English inside out, you cannot get 8+ if you don't know the certain strategies for IELTS.

Basically, my journey to IELTS started a year ago, when I certainly knew that I'll apply to US. It was really hard in the beginning since I score only 5.5 or 6. That's why I decided to follow certain strategies. There were dozens of information on the Internet, but the relevant ones where only few.

So, how I set my study plan?
Everyday I decided to do at least one listening, reading and writing task. At first, I followed it, then, i failed. You ask why? There was no change in score... Months passed. I still scored only 6. But then I decided to change my study plan. Everyday I watched only youtube channels (there are a lot, I'll share soon) only on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday were test days. After enriching my vocabulary and building CORRECT strategy I finally began to score 7.0.

By the way, shout-out to my teachers, who also compelled me to study IELTS.

IELTS is the sum of your preparation. So, don't forget to prepare at least an hour a day. There will be NO RESULT if you work only one day, but 8 hours. You will get high score if you prepare consistently at least an hour, but EVERYDAY.

Но был один вопрос "What are the disadvantages of living with elderly people?"

As many of you chose the study plan for IELTS, LET'S GOO!

TODAY WE ARE GONNA TALK ABOUT LISTENING

- You will be given 40 minutes (30 minutes of speech, 10 minutes for transferring the answer)
- It consists of 4 parts: first is the easiest, where you should fill the personal information while listening to the talk between two people, second and third parts can be dialogue or monologue, last one is lecture.

So how to prepare?

Before starting any preparation, be aware of the structure of the test!!!

Generally, listening has 6 types of questions. Each question needs certain strategies to prepare. So if you want to have a quick review then go to this website: https://www.ielts.com/about/news-and-articles/article-question-types-listening

After having a general view of question types, then start doing practices. DON'T BE AFRAID TO MAKE MISTAKES❕❕❕

In any practice nothing will be perfect, so make mistakes and learn from it. If you made an error then analyze it. Ask these questions:
-What mistake is that? Spelling? Totally different word? Couldn't find the answer? Then listen to the track again!

Listening self study plan:
Beginner:
-1st day: LEARN structure of the test
-2nd day: be introduced with question types
-3rd day: Work on 1st part. Numbers and names
-4th day: PRACTICE!!! And analyze mistakes
-5th day: 2nd part intense preparation and practice, watch TED talks, be ready to different ACCENTS.
-6th day: 3rd and 4th parts practice and strategies
-7th day: Practice

For Experienced person:
If you know the structure and strategies, then work on errors

- Listen to Ted talks, radio, ENGLISH SPEECH in different accents
- Find your weakness: spelling, vocabulary
- Analyze any talk: if you listened to Ted talk then write:
What's the main topic? What does speaker talk abou? What's his position? What did I take from it?
- PRACTICE

DON'T FORGET‼️‼️
Practice makes perfect... But perfection doesn't mean not making mistakes, ok?

Hope you like it) Share it with your friends
