Waiting for final confirmation, but it appears the MAGA Slate ticket for Kansas First with April McCoy and The Right Side with Doug Billings has lost the race for Chair and Vice Chair of the Kansas Republican Party.
The MAGA Slate Opposition ticket has reportedly won the Kansas GOP Republican party Chair.
The vote was reportedly 121 to 56; which does not feel reflective of the actual voter base of the Kansas Republican Party.
But, unlike MAGA Republicans, the opposition ticket took the prescient strategy to heart, filling seats in the empty committeeman and woman seats in Kansas counties.
About 50% of those seats in every EVERY COUNTY in Kansas are still empty. The MAGA slate ticket didn't have to lose, but we didn't have people fill those seats (who would have won if they simply registered, because they would have won by default).
It isn't who has the most support of the voters, but who fills the seats that are empty, to get seats to show up and vote at the State GOP Convention.
And sadly, the MAGA base didn't show up to run unopposed for those seats, to have the numbers to send to vote in the MAGA slate ticket.
The MAGA opposition ticket won, which is:
Chair- Danedri Herbert
Vice Chair- Andy Hooser
Treasurer- Roger Lomshek
Secretary- Amanda Schlyer
They may be in support of President Trump, but sadly few know who they are as they have had no public interaction in any groups or social media we can find in the past 4 years.
The MAGA slate, has been very public, very transparent and very vocal in support of President Trump.
So while the opposition ticket it appears has won, they have the problem now, that they are going to be seen as the outsiders and have to work extra hard and over time to earn the trust of the Kansas Republican voters because they have been off the radar for the past 4 years (at least not very public and out and about as the MAGA slate ticket has been.)
If you have not yet checked to see if your precinct position is empty in your county please do so, or reach out to your County GOP chair and ask who is your prescient man or woman, if there is no one, ask to be appointed to the seat.
Then run next time, so you can help, and we can return to rewarding the Republican leaders who are out and about and vocal, transparent, showing up and working with the public.
This feels like a punch in the gut, because the people who have been out in the public, putting it all on the line, working hard have lost.

It appears the big disconnect with the MAGA Slate ticket and the opposition ticket for the Kansas GOP Convention today is that the MAGA Slate ticket has spent most of their time and energy with the Republican Voters and in public support of Trump, and the opposition ticket has spent most of their time and energy in Topeka with politicians with little to no mention of Trump.

This email screen shot from the Democrat Party leadership that tried to meddle in today's Kansas GOP Convention, has been deleted by the person who shared it on Facebook now.
If it had not been copied and pasted into this channel, there would be no copy of it left.
A 2nd email was shared on facebook the next day, in which the 1st one was verified as being real by the Democrat who sent it, in claiming they had been "hacked" and someone got a copy of it (but none the less that confirmed it was real).
Already Democrats are calling the opposition party ticket that won bad and part of Kris Kobach's team (which is unclear if that is true).

The Kansas Democrat House Minority Leader all but trashing the Kansas GOP new Chair today, after the Kansas Democrat leadership just days prior reached out to Republican leadership with promises of considering the MAGA opposition to be moderate and wanting to work together,
When what the Democrat leadership seems to have actually wanted was to stop the MAGA slate ticket from retaining control of the GOP in Kansas going forward because it was the better qualified ticket to take on the Democrat RINO swamp in Topeka.

Thank you April McCoy and The Right Side with Doug Billings for being willing to run for the Kansas GOP MAGA slate ticket (along with the other 2 on the ticket who have kept more a low profile).
We all see how much people who stand up and run have to go through and deal with to do it. It is hard enough to find people who will simply run for their prescient committee man or woman seat (50% or more are likely empty in every county in every state in the country and that's a pretty low key role to run for). Meaning if you run you would win by default, you can't lose.
Those committeemen and women then help select the delegate(s) for each county GOP in the state and they send those delegates them to the state Convention to vote for the leadership for the party (but it is hard to find people who even want to do that).
But, to be willing to run for the state GOP leadership, well we all see today how that goes, you semi become a public figure and have to deal with a bunch of crazy people and a lot of drama. Very few people want to do it.
Even to be fair to the ticket that did win today, they knew they had to do the same thing. Both tickets had people willing to do it, most people do not want to do it. The other ticket may be great nice people, but when the Democrat party leadership already shows no respect to the new ticket that won and from what appeared to be the case prior from the leaked emails of the Democrat leadership calling them moderate in an attempt to gain trust.
It appears what they really wanted was to stop the Kansas MAGA slate ticket that has wide spread regional trust and the ears of the MAGA Republican base.
The fact that already trolls are coming to this page and other pages of those who are not happy tells the story and well. They have no public base or support. They have been off the radar with the public voters for the past 4 years and now they show up and win and defeat the MAGA slate ticket.

I would hope she was leaving the position at the AG office. I believe she is part owner of a consultant business, too. She needs to have time to lead the party.
