Assalaamu alaykum
Recently a fire on the island of Madagascar engulfed a whole village and destroyed 400 houses in a poor area.
45 Muslim houses were totally burnt leaving only metal and cement behind.
We are initially aiming to urgently raise for a brother, who studied in madinah and teaches Qur'aan there on the island. Him, his family and children have nothing left, unemployed, not even clothes for his children as everything was burnt in the fire.
Truly, this is an urgent case, they are in a very low state and very difficult time and had to resort to asking for assistance after trying to be patient.
His modest house costs just over £3100 to rebuild. Furthermore we would like to help him with extra to buy food, necessities for their house and clothes for his children and maybe help other Muslims who were affected.
We are initially aiming to raise at least £6000 to be sent latest Friday 32rd Nov next week InshaaAllah.
We ask our dear brothers and sisters who are able to donate something to this cause to help this brother and his family, to be reminded by the virtue of giving in charity for the sake of Allah and the our responsibility of helping our needy Muslim brothers and sisters in their difficult times.
The Prophet sallaaAllahu alayhi wa sallam said:
Whoever removes a worldly grief/distress from a believer, Allah will remove from him one of the griefs of the Day of Resurrection. And whoever alleviates the need of a needy person, Allah will alleviate his needs in this world and the Hereafter. Whoever shields the misdeeds of a Muslim, Allah will shield him in this world and the Hereafter. And Allah will aid His slave so long as he aids his brother..... (collected by Muslim)
