“At-Tasfiyah Wat Tarbiyah: At-Tasfiyah [purification and rectification] and At-Tarbiyah [education and cultivation]. At-Tasfiyah [purification and rectification] as Shaikh Albaani [rahimahullaah] stated, necessitates the Islamic Aqīdah is purified from that which is not from it, such as shirk, At-Ta'teel [negation of Allaah Names and Attributes], At-Ta`weel [false interpretation] and rejecting authentic aḥādīth, because these affairs are connected to matters of ʿaqīdah.”

Allaah said:
وَالَّذِينَ جَاهَدُوا فِينَا لَنَهْدِيَنَّهُمْ سُبُلَنَا وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَمَعَ الْمُحْسِنِينَ
As for those who strive hard in (Our Cause), We will surely guide them to Our Paths (i.e. the sound religion). And verily, Allah is with the Muhsinun (good doers).
Imaam Ibnul Qayyim [rahimahullaah] stated in Al-Fawaa’id page 97 regarding the relationship between striving and guidance- he said: Allaah attached guidance to Jihaad [i.e. striving in the path of Allaah]. The people with the most perfect guidance are those who [perform] a greater Jihaad [i.e striving in the path of Allaah]. And the most obligatory Jihaad is the Jihaad against the Self; Jihaad against [evil or vain] desires, Jihaad against shaytaan and jihaad against the Dunyah.
