Struggling with the easiest problem on LeetCode?
So, what should you do?
First, make sure you've mastered the basics of your programming language. You should feel confident writing if/else statements, different types of loops, and handling arrays—all without needing help from an IDE.
If you're not confident, take some time to sit down with a pen and paper and write out 50-100 tasks for each topic.
For example, when practicing loops, try tasks like:
- Print numbers from 1 to 100.
- Print numbers in rows that form a triangle.
- Print all the numbers divisible by 3 or 5, but not 15.
It’s your turn to come up with some tasks.
Once you've done that, set a goal to complete 5 tasks every day.
Practice makes it better!

Why You Should Solve LeetCode Problems Every Day
As a software developer, you likely don't write code every single day—especially as you become more senior in your career. The more experienced you get, the less hands-on coding you may do.
However, if you want to keep your coding skills sharp, the solution is simple: write code every day.
One of the best ways to do this is by solving LeetCode problems. Here's why:
You will maintain your coding skills.
You will always be prepared, making you more confident.
You will improve at breaking down complex tasks into smaller, manageable pieces.
You will write more efficient code.
You will build speed which is important to meet project deadlines.
So, keep at it!

Instead of learning theory - go get you hands dirty
I mean it!
You don’t know how a Hash Table Data Structure works?
- Go read about Hash Table.
- Understand Hash Table.
- Take notes on key concepts of Hash Table.
Then practice, practice, and practice Hash Tables:
- Build a simple Hash Table from scratch without looking for help.
- Solve problems using Hash Tables.
- Push yourself to use Hash Tables as much as you can.
Do this until you feel so confident and comfortable with Hash Table, so that you will use Hash Table intuitively.
But don’t be like this guy -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5bId3N7QZec&t=63s&ab_channel=JomaTech

I solved 1 LeetCode problem and here is what I got:
- I figured out how UI of the platform works.
- I figured out how parameters are passed.
- I saw the contraints. Don’t make any sense.
- It took several hours to write a solution which passes all tests.
- I saw solutions of other LeetCoders. I don’t understand even if they explained it.
- How can one solve 1000 problems?! That’s so difficult - impossible.
- I did it. I was able to solve my first problem!

I solved 10 LeetCode problem and Here is what I got:
- Now I’m familiar with the UI
- I barely understand the contraints
- It’s still challenging submit successfully from the first attempt
- Edge cases are devil
- Still don’t understand others’ solutions
- Still shocked how people manage to tackle 1000+ problems on LeetCode.
- I did it. 10 and counting!

I solved 50 LeetCode problems and here is what I got
- I know how to use the inputs
- I know that there is always a better solution than mine
- I take time to figure out what can I do before jumping into coding right away
- I still don’t understand most solutions
- Cool. 50 and counting!

I solved 200 LeetCode problems and here is what I got
- I started seeing patterns
- I can understand time and memory complexities
- I solve problems much faster. It takes ~1 hour
- I use extra edge cases
- I start sharing my solutions
- 200? Wow, let’s gooo!

I solved 1000 LeetCode problems and here’s what I learned.
- It’s become a good routine for me.
- I see patterns in almost every task.
- I can see multiple solutions, assess them, choose one, and solve the problem.
- The average time for medium tasks is now 15-20 minutes.
- I solve problems directly in LeetCode’s text editor, without using an IDE.
- Consistency in coding helps me build other habits.
- Oh, that’s how you crack 1000 problems.
- 1k? Done! How about 2k?
