Report speech.
Reporting speech, also known as indirect speech or reported speech, is a way of conveying someone else's words or ideas without using their exact words. It is a method of relaying what someone said or thought using our own words.
When using reported speech, we typically change the tenses, pronouns, and certain expressions to convey the original speaker's message accurately.

Reported Speech: John said that he was going to the movies that night.
