🇫🇷 French writer Vincent Reynouard is again on the run and wanted by French authorities for several days.
Previously sentenced to years in prison simply for writing books about World War II, he has served time in Fleury-Mérogis, Brussels, Valenciennes and Edinburgh, and has been fined nearly €50,000 over his World War II publications.
He was arrested in Scotland in November 2022 after a years-long manhunt by British intelligence in coordination with their French counterparts. After serving time in Edinburgh, Scotland, he was placed under surveillance upon his return to France in February 2024.
Due in court several days ago and facing yet another prison sentence, the writer has once again gone into hiding.
In a statement issued today from an undisclosed location, Reynouard renewed his call for a fair debate, which he says he has sought for 30 years. He says French authorities continue to refuse, maintaining that whether he is right or wrong is irrelevant, as French law prohibits his statements.
