The International Friendship Club was opened in Sirius on behalf of the President of Russia.

The closing event of the scientific and religious conference "If we face the truth..." was the grand opening of the International Friendship Club on the Federal Territory of Sirius. According to the instructions of Russian President Vladimir Putin, the club will be a continuation of the "Cultural Patronage" program of the World Youth Festival 2024 and will strengthen cooperation with representatives from other countries.

At WYF-2024, each region of the Russian Federation was assigned a list of foreign states. Activists from Sirius took under their patronage participants from Finland, the Netherlands, Iceland, Canada and the United Kingdom.

The participants of the official delegation of the Federal Territory of Sirius held a number of interesting events for foreign delegations: a Russian-style winter hike in the mountains, a music night party, the planting of the International Friendship Alley in the Ornithological Park and guided tours around the Olympic heritage sites.

On the Federal Territory, the International Friendship Club will operate on the basis of the Department of International Relations. The opening of the club will help bring to life the most ambitious ideas and projects, as well as provide an opportunity to build long-term partnerships between countries.

The Friendship Club in Sirius will become a permanent platform for communication. The participants will develop and implement joint projects in the fields of science, culture, sports and education. The work will be carried out on five tracks: media, entrepreneurship, civic engagement, regional specifics and community.

The World Youth Festival was held from March 1-7, 2024 in Sirius in accordance with the Decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin in order to develop international youth cooperation. 20,000 young leaders from 190 countries took part in the WYF-2024.
