Peter the Great introduced Laughter Day in Russia, the emperor loved to have fun and play pranks on his subjects and guests. One day, theatre actors played a joke on the emperor himself: they announced a performance, but instead of the play, the audience saw a poster: 'On April 1, you can't trust anyone!'. Peter I only laughed, appreciating the audacity.
Nowadays, memes play a big role in our lives — we use them to laugh, express emotions and thoughts.

The World Youth Festival took place almost one year ago. It was the largest international event that united 190 countries and more than 25,000 participants.
Our Friendship Club has prepared a set of events to celebrate the WYF birthday.
⛵️ Sailing Regatta
Join a sailing race. The regatta is about new friends and teamwork, mutual support and physical skills.
When: April, 9 at 13:30 (UTC +3)
Where: Imereti harbor
Registration is open until 12:00 April, 7 (UTC +3)
The number of tickets is limited, age limit: 18+

Собрал больше 25 000 человек из 190 стран, объединил культуры и запомнился навсегда — год назад на федеральной территории прошёл Всемирный фестиваль молодёжи. Фестиваль закончился, но дружба продолжается: в каждом регионе страны созданы Международные клубы дружбы — площадки для коммуникации российской и зарубежной молодёжи.
Рассказываем, как участники Международного клуба дружбы Сириуса отметили день рождения крупнейшего молодёжного события.
Вернувшихся на берег, награждённых и счастливых, ребят ждал вечер культурного обмена. Они пообщались, вспомнили моменты Всемирного фестиваля молодёжи, послушали живую музыку и задули свечи на праздничном торте. С приветственной речью выступили участники клуба дружбы из Канады и Великобритании.
🟢 The World Youth Festival is one year old! Sirius celebrated the WYF birthday with a sailing regatta and a cultural exchange evening
The World Youth Festival was held on the federal territory a year ago, it brought together more than 25,000 people from 190 countries, it united cultures and led to unforgettable memories for everyone. The Festival is over, but friendship is here with us: International Friendship Clubs all over Russia give opportunity for Russian and foreign youth to communicate and exchange experience further on.
Let us show you how Sirius celebrated the birthday of the largest youth event.
⛵️ The day started with a festive regatta: seven teams took the open sea to test themselves and show their best qualities during the race.
Back on shore, rewarded and happy, the participants were welcomed at the cultural exchange evening. Our friends from Canada and the UK made a welcoming speech. We socialised, recalled the best moments of the World Youth Festival, listened to live music and blew out the candles on the festive cake.🎂 Also the United Arab Emirates national chemistry team joined the celebration. They told us about their culture and presented everyone with memorable gifts.
