Happy Valentineโs Day everyone! ๐As we celebrate this special day with our loved one, #LetsMeet @kindnesssgโs General Secretary Dr William Wan and his wife Ruth, who are looking forward to their 5๏ธโฃ0๏ธโฃth wedding anniversary next month!
โShe was 22 and I was 17. She came from KL and we met as students at the Singapore Bible College in 1965. We lived in the same hostel and had common activities. We got married five years later. It took a lot to adjust to each other after our marriage. At first, I tried to change her to be more like me. But 50 years of marriage, three children and four grandchildren later, I have long given that up and accept her for who she is. We are two very different personalities.
My advice for a long, happy marriage is to practice the ABC of kindness. Accept and pay attention to each other, Bond by finding time to do things together, and Commit to each other. There will be ups and downs, but commitment is about loving even when you donโt feel very loving.โ

A big thank you to everyone who has contributed, including Capitaland Hope Foundation, Presidentโs Challenge, Far East Organization, Keppel, Great Eastern Singapore and many individuals and corporations. With your outpouring of generosity, we will be able to support the most vulnerable among us.
