“This is home, truly, where I know I must be, where my dreams wait for me, where that river always flows”
You know the song and it’s time to Sing Together, Singapore! 🎤🇸🇬 In about 10 minutes, residents across our island will be singing “Home” by Dick Lee, in unison to show appreciation to our frontline workers, migrant workers and all of us doing our part by staying home.
Tune in to any local TV or radio channel at 7.55pm and gather your family. Wave your flashlights from your home windows or balcony and raise your voices for a cause. #singtogetherSG #SingaporeTogether #stayhomeforSG

“It is crucial for the preschool, therapists and Early Intervention educators to provide integrated support to children with developmental needs. At the end of the day, these children and their families will need to feel welcomed and, most importantly, accepted by the community.”
Dr Jacqueline Chung, who is part of our Inclusive Preschool Workgroup, believes that inculcating inclusivity starts from young, as early as in preschool. Read on as she shares her thoughts here: https://msfcaresblog.com/2020/04/01/inclusivity-begins-in-the-classroom/

#LetsMeet Evelyn Lee, 18, a student who has been helping us as a Temporary Relief Fund (TRF) volunteer.
“I wanted to play my part in the fight against the virus, so I agreed to volunteer (to help with TRF). I help with temperature checks and crowd control, assist members of public with filling up forms, and answer simple enquiries.
The most fulfilling part of the job is seeing clients smile. Offering hope to others is the one thing that really keeps me going.”

When Jane (name has been changed to protect the child’s identity) first entered foster care at the age of 15, she was anxious about living with a new family, and took a while to warm up to them. With the love and support from her foster family, Jane began to trust them, and broke down the emotional walls that she had built over the years to protect herself.
An avid dancer, Jane was touched when she received a pair of sneakers👟from her foster parents, as it symbolised their support for one of her greatest passions.
Today, she cherishes every moment she has with her foster family, and hopes that more families will step forward to offer their homes to youths like herself. 🏠
