#LetsMeet Jeanette Lim, 29, a Financial Consultant who got married through online solemnisation last Wednesday.
“The news of the Circuit Breaker extension made both of us lose almost all hope of having our marriage solemnisation take place on 20 May. The date is special to us because we started dating exactly three years ago.
When we found out that we could have our marriage solemnised virtually, we booked a slot right away. On the day of our solemnisation, the solemniser created a virtual room for us on Zoom, allowing our family members to join the ceremony. It was unconventional, but still filled with love and joy.
This Circuit Breaker has taught us to better appreciate each other, and improve our communication, which is paramount in keeping our relationship alive.”

#LetsMeet Wesley Loh, an autism advocate who wrote a poem to uplift the spirits of the autistic community amidst COVID-19.
“COVID-19 has disrupted many of our routines. It is tough for those of us who are autistic because routines give us serenity and comfort. Such disruptions can cause some of us a lot of distress.
I wrote a poem about not losing hope during this COVID-19 situation and dedicated it to the autistic community to encourage us to care for and support one another. I feel a sense of comfort to be able to serve this community through poetry.”
