Meet our kindy kids and friends on their first day back in the Little Preschool @ Pasir Ris! Creative precautionary measures are in place to ensure a safe space for the little ones and preschool staff. Let's continue to practise COVID-Safe ABCs as good habits to protect everyone.

#LetsMeet Wesley Loh, an autism advocate who wrote a poem to uplift the spirits of the autistic community amidst COVID-19.

โ€œCOVID-19 has disrupted many of our routines. It is tough for those of us who are autistic because routines give us serenity and comfort. Such disruptions can cause some of us a lot of distress.

I wrote a poem about not losing hope during this COVID-19 situation and dedicated it to the autistic community to encourage us to care for and support one another. I feel a sense of comfort to be able to serve this community through poetry.โ€

Itโ€™s been a week since school started and our young ones are settling in well with their teachers and classmates practising their #BacktoSchoolABCs together. Our Early Intervention (EI) centres have reopened too for selected children with higher needs, or those who only attend these centres.

We thank the preschools and EI communities for their tireless work, and parents for their support in COVID-Safe measures to keep everyone safe.
#LetsMeet Crystal Choy, 24, who has been volunteering at SSO @ Bukit Merah, to assist people who need help with their COVID-19 Support Grant applications.

โ€œThe applications can be done entirely online, but some older Singaporeans still prefer to come down to the SSOs for assistance as they donโ€™t know how to fill up the application form online. Iโ€™ve encountered people from all walks of life whom I donโ€™t usually meet. This experience has opened my eyes to reality; that not all Singaporeans have internet access or laptops at home.

As Iโ€™m more tech-savvy, I want to give back to society by helping them. This is a time when Singaporeans need to be there for one another, and stand united.โ€
