Let’s come together as a Family! 👨👩👧👦 All are invited to the Carnival 🎡 at the Community Chest Heartstrings Walk 2019. Details below:
👉🏼Date: Sunday 4 Aug 2019
👉🏼Venue: Marina Bay Sands
👉🏼Activities:
🚶🏻♀️Fun Walk: Flag off at 6:30am

Ending off on a healthy note…📝
Why should we be healthy❓🤷🏻♀️
Because...a better physique 💪🏼 mental alertness 🧠 reduced risk of diseases 🧘🏻♂️, and a happier life 😇 the benefits are endless!
So with the inter-agency taskforce, HealthySG, we can better tie in efforts from across the ministries and the whole country – to infuse health ❤️ in all aspects of life.
Studies show that poor 👎🏼 health 🤒 is the main obstacle preventing people from finding and sustaining a job. Thus, we will work 🤝 with HPB to pilot this HealthySG Support Programme to the low income families 👨👩👧👦 from our kidSTART 🧩 programme.
HPB will tailor interactive activities like grocery shopping tours 🧀🥩, hawker food trails 🍜🍛and workshops 👩🏻🏫 to educate parents to make better food choices.
Very soon, Singaporeans will be able to get a healthy living ‘passport’ to travel 🧳 to these health stations 🚉 (e.g cooking class and nutrition workshops)
Stay tuned 📺 to this channel for more updates! In the meantime, remember to eat 🥗🍎🥕and live healthy! 🏊🏼♂️⛹🏻♀️🤾🏻♂️

Looking out for our young ones 👀🧒🏻
The Children and Young Persons Act (CYPA) 📑 first enacted in 1949 and last amended in 2011 – provides for the welfare, care, protection and rehabilitation of children under 16.
Today, Minister for Social and Family Development, Mr Desmond Lee introduced a Bill to amend 📝the CYPA in Parliament. The new amendments aim to provide a better environment 🏡for children to grow up well and safely. ☺️
1) Foster parents to have Childcare Leave Benefits. 👨👩👧👦🤱🏻
Currently, working foster parents have to take their own leave to care for their foster children. Under this new Bill, these foster parents will have more time and flexibility to care for their wards.
2) Starting anew, on a clean slate 👣
Mistakes made in one’s folly should not affect one’s future. Hence, a youth’s criminal record will be deemed to be spent when he/she successfully completes specific Youth Court orders so that ex-offenders who wish to turn over a new leaf 🍃can put their past behind them without a criminal record. The child’s identity and privacy is also protected 🔑 as long as no further offence is committed when he/she is older.

We can all do so by Playing our Part! 🤝
1) #alittlemoreSG campaign 🖼💕
Firstly, be prepared to do a little more! This year, in your NDP funpacks, there is a little more something done by 7 students from Very Special Arts Singapore 🎨🇸🇬 which provides opportunities for persons with special needs to be involved in the arts. They designed the greeting cards 💌 which also contains well-wishes to Singapore from Changi Prison’s inmates. How heartwarming! 🥰 Indeed, regardless of who we are, we can all give and care a little more.
See the beautiful designs here:

Though Singapore 🇸🇬 recently concluded her National Day celebrations 🎊 , the Singapore spirit continues to burn brightly. 🔥
Majulah Singapura = Onward Singapore 🇸🇬 🦁
2 words that carry so much meaning.
This Bicentennial National Year, young adults 👨🏻👩🏻 and fresh graduates 👨🏻🎓👩🏻🎓 are living out the core of our national anthem by taking the lead in helping the needy in Singapore.
Project R.I.C.E+ 🍚 is helmed by current SMU undergraduate Mr Brendan Ong. Its beneficiaries are low income families and migrant workers.
The 23 year old is the project director of Project R.I.C.E+ 🍚 which distributes hampers to the needy. He noted that some members of the public may think that the beneficiaries only need food 🥬🥩 but actually toiletries 🧴🧼are equally important as well.
This year, the Project R.I.C.E+ committee, which consists of youth leaders 👧🏻👦🏻 This year, according to the beneficiaries’ complex needs, the public sponsored a suitable hamper. The committee then converted it to a specific type.
