πŸŽ™ Speaking Part 1.1 sample answers:

1. Tell me about your favorite season.
πŸ—£My favorite season is autumn because it has a very calm and peaceful atmosphere. I really enjoy the cool weather after the intense heat of summer. The air feels fresher, the streets become quieter, and everything looks more beautiful when the leaves change color. Another reason I love autumn is that it helps me focus better on my goals and studies. During this season, I usually feel more motivated and productive. I also like rainy days in autumn because they create a relaxing mood. For me, autumn is not just a season – it is a feeling of comfort, reflection, and emotional balance.

2. When do you usually go to bed?
πŸ—£My sleeping schedule is not always perfectly organized, but I usually go to bed around eleven or midnight. On busy days, especially when I have a lot of studying or work to finish, I sometimes stay awake much later than I should. However, I try to avoid sleeping too late because I know that lack of sleep affects both my concentration and mood. Before going to bed, I often spend some time listening to music, thinking about my day, or watching short videos to relax. I believe a healthy sleeping routine is extremely important, although maintaining it consistently can sometimes be difficult.

3. Do you like collecting?
πŸ—£Yes, I actually enjoy collecting certain things, especially items that have emotional or personal value. For example, I like saving meaningful photos, memorable messages, and small objects that remind me of important moments in my life. I think collecting is interesting because every item tells a story and brings back memories. Some people collect expensive things like coins or watches, but for me, emotional value matters more than financial value. Collecting also reflects a person’s personality and interests. In my opinion, it is a nice hobby because it allows people to preserve special experiences and feel connected to their past.

πŸŽ™Speaking questions (with sample answers)
(Real exam materials)

✈️Topic: Sport

⭐Part 1

1. Do you enjoy playing sport?
I do, though I'll admit I'm not particularly skilled at any one in particular. I play badminton with friends now and then, mostly just for fun and to get some exercise rather than out of any real competitive drive. It's more about the social side for me, to be honest, catching up with people while doing something active.

2. What sports are popular in your country?

Football is by far the most popular, it dominates almost everything from playground games to national television coverage. Cricket also has a huge following in many regions, and you'll often see groups of people gathered around a screen during major tournaments. Traditional sports tend to get less attention these days, unfortunately, as they're often overshadowed by these more mainstream ones.

3. Did you do much sport when you were a child?

Yes, quite a bit actually. I was enrolled in swimming lessons from a young age, and I also played basketball for my school team for a couple of years. Looking back, I think it gave me a good foundation, both in terms of fitness and learning how to work as part of a team.

πŸ”€πŸ”€πŸ”€πŸ”€πŸ”€πŸ”€πŸ”€πŸ”€ part 3 sample answer:

πŸ”ΊWell, extracurricular activities at school are undeniably beneficial. Not only do they help students develop skills that go far beyond academics, but they also foster teamwork, leadership, and confidence. What I find particularly valuable is that such activities reduce stress, since students are given a healthy outlet to balance their academic workload. The more they engage in creative or athletic pursuits, the more likely they are to discover hidden talents and build meaningful friendships.

πŸ”ΊThat said, seldom do we consider the potential downsides. For instance, extracurricular programs may reduce the time allocated to core subjects, which could, in turn, affect academic performance. Moreover, were schools to have introduced too many activities, they might have placed unnecessary financial pressure on both institutions and families. Another issue is that not every student is genuinely interested; some may feel compelled to participate simply because of peer pressure.

πŸ”ΊIn my view, what is crucial is striking the right balance. Extracurricular activities should indeed be taught at schools, but only to the extent that they complement, rather than overshadow, academic learning. By integrating them wisely, schools can nurture both intellectual and personal growth.
