Many children may not have access to healthy food at home, so school lunches can help maintain their physical health and concentration during lessons. Additionally, it saves time for parents who might otherwise have to prepare meals early in the morning. Schools can also control food quality and ensure that hygiene standards are maintained.

However, there are also some disadvantages. One concern is the cost of running such programs, which may place a financial burden on schools or governments.
