On 14 February 2026, Arbitrator HIB Nareth West, President of the National Commercial Arbitration Centre (NCAC), and Mrs. Prom Savada, Arbitrator and Registered Mediator at NCAC, were invited to serve as volunteer arbitrators in the final school round of the 23rd Annual Willem C. Vis (East) International Commercial Arbitration Moot, held at the Royal University of Law and Economics.
Their participation as a final-round arbitrator reflects NCAC’s strong commitment to promoting arbitration mechanisms and supporting the development of law students’ capacities in alternative dispute resolution. Furthermore, this moot competition provided a valuable opportunity for law students to enhance their legal analytical skills, oral advocacy, and practical experience in resolving commercial disputes through international arbitration mechanisms.
Finally, NCAC would like to express our sincere appreciation to the English Language Based Bachelor of Laws (ELBBL) program for the honor extended to the President of NCAC and NCAC arbitrator member to serve as a volunteer arbitrator in the final round of this moot court competition. On 25 February 2026, National Commercial Arbitration Centre (NCAC) collaborated with the Bar Association of the Kingdom of Cambodia (BAKC) to organize a seminar on “Mastering Arbitration Clause Drafting in Commercial Contracts.” The seminar was held at the headquarters of BAKC under the distinguished presidency of Mrs. LIM Ratha, Vice President of the Executive Board of NCAC, Highest Representative of H.E. HIB Nareth West, President of NCAC and Lawyer KIM Socheat, Secretary-General of the Secretariat of BAKC, Highest Representative of H.E. SAING Vannak, President of BAKC.
The seminar featured Mr. San Kiri, Arbitrator and Registered Mediator of NCAC, as the guest speaker. The event was attended by the leadership and staff of the NCAC Secretariat, members of the Secretariat of the Bar Association, the leadership of the Lawyer Professional Training Center, trainee lawyers, and numerous participants.
The distinguished speaker delivered a comprehensive presentation aimed at strengthening the professional capacity of participants. The presentation focused on key principles of commercial dispute resolution through arbitration, effective techniques for drafting arbitration clauses, common mistakes found in arbitration clauses, as well as the Med-Arb and Arb-Med-Arb mechanisms.
At the end of the seminar, Lawyer YIM Vissoth, Deputy Secretary-General of the Secretariat of BAKC delivered the closing remarks.
NCAC also expresses its profound gratitude to the distinguished speaker, leadership and working teams of the Bar Association of the Kingdom of Cambodia, the leadership and general secetariat of NCAC, and all participants for their time and active engagement, which contributed to the successful completion of this seminar.
