Dear All,
The tribal society of India has always been an integral part of Indian civilization and culture with its unique traditions and high virtues of life. Whenever the country’s security was at stake, tribal society stood strong to protect the nation by their valor and sacrifice. It is a matter of great joy that we all are celebrating Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav this year. This is a golden opportunity to remember all those struggles and sacrifices made by our heroes to free India from the ordeals of the British Empire. It’s about time that we revisit those tales of valor and patriotism.
We at NIT Rourkela along with other universities of India is also celebrating “AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOSTSAV” National Seminar in association with National Commission for Scheduled Tribes (NCST) on the theme “Tribal Heroes in India’s Freedom Struggle” on 09 September 2022 at 04.00 pm in Bhubaneswar Behera Auditorium. The seminar will be preceded by an Exhibition to be inaugurated by the Chief Guest for the event Sh. Ananta Nayak Ji, Hon’ble Member, NCST. We welcome you to witness the program as a mark of our sincere respect for the unsung heroes of the tribal society.

Startup Odisha is organising Startup Odisha Yatra 2.0 – Odisha from 26th Aug’22. The Yatra will be targeting grass root entrepreneurs, aspiring entrepreneurs, and Startups with an objective of achieving the following objectives:
• Startup Awareness: Spreading awareness about Odisha Startup ecosystem and providing mentorship to the budding entrepreneurs.
• Incubation Offers: Scouting the best talent within Tier2/3 districts of the State and providing them incubation offers from state incubators.
• Other Incentives: Various other incentives from the resource partners of Startup Odisha such as legal consultation, advisory services, mentorship etc.
• The Yatra has been launched on 26th August, by Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik and a mobile van has been flagged off.
This vehicle will travel around the State with the following objectives:
• Spreading awareness about Startup Odisha and State government policies
• Opportunity to pitch an idea and get selected for the acceleration programme
The van will be reaching NIT Rourkela on 13th September 2022 at 10 AM. The van will stand near to the BBA auditorium.
