Have you ever felt like you don’t belong? Like your friends or colleagues are going to discover you’re a fraud, and you don’t actually deserve your job and accomplishments?🧐
If yes, you may have Impostor syndrome, and we're here to help you with it.

Impostor syndrome is the idea that you’ve only succeeded due to luck, and not because of your talent or qualifications. Although it seems like being humble, it's more like zeroing your own hard work. It gets worse when it's affecting your life and your mental health, so you need to learn how to defeat it. 💪

Therefore, NU ACM-W SC is happy to invite you to the "Impostor syndrome" talk by Nazerke Kalidolda 😍.
She will share with us her experience, insights, and some advice on this topic.

When? October 14th, 17:00.
Where? Zoom.

🌟Dear friends,
We're thrilled to invite all of you to join our Guest Lecture “Sex, Science and the Brain; Where have all the Young Girls Gone?” by Professor Gina Rippon! ✨

Gina Rippon is Professor Emeritus of Cognitive Neuroimaging at the Aston Brain Centre in the UK. She is a cognitive neuroscientist whose work challenges the myth that gender gaps are linked to ‘essential’ differences between female and male brains. To know more about Professor Gina’s work click here: Wikipedia and Aston University website.

The under representation of women in science is a problem with a long history, entangled with debates about biological sex differences and their part in determining gender gaps in many arenas.

This talk will examine the evidence that both brain and behaviour can be affected by robustly gendered and stereotyped attitudes about science and scientists, leading to self-fulfilling prophecies of under-performance and dis-engagement.

Date: 26th of October
Time: 19:00 (UTC+06:00)
Venue: Zoom
