1) Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, How I Wonder Myself to Space

Zhen Ning will share how he ended up building a space company in Singapore, a little about the technical challenges faced, and how wondering about things got him into this field.

Speakers Profile๐ŸŽ™

By Zhen Ning Ng, founder of NuSpace and NUS Engineering Science graduate who worked at DSO and on cubesatellites at NUS.

2) How a CPU Performance Feature Became a Security Vulnerability

Modern CPUs use techniques like pipelining, caching, and branch prediction for speed โ€” but these same features can create security problems. We'll explore how attackers turn these mechanisms against the system using transient execution attacks such as Spectre to leak secret information.

Speakers Profile๐ŸŽ™

Flavien Solt is an Assistant Professor at NUS. He received his PhD at ETH Zurich for work on hardware security.
