The right splint starts with the right diagnosis.
Patients may present with the same symptoms—TMJ pain, muscle tension, or limited jaw opening—but require completely different treatment approaches.
That’s why functional diagnosis is the foundation of predictable splint therapy.
📚 In this carousel, we’ve highlighted five essential principles of functional diagnosis based on Rudolf Slavicek’s book The Masticatory Organ.
If you’d like to explore this concept in greater depth, join us in New York for Slavicek Concept: Integrating Digital and Analog Protocols in Functional Dentistry.

🦷 From single implants to full-mouth rehabilitation — one comprehensive clinical approach.
📅 April 2–3, 2027
📍 Hands-on Workshop with Stavros Pelekanos
Every step of implant treatment has a direct impact on long-term function, aesthetics, and clinical predictability. That is why successful implant dentistry requires more than surgical skills—it demands a comprehensive understanding of the entire treatment workflow.
We invite you to join this two-day hands-on workshop, where you’ll explore contemporary implant protocols from single implants in the aesthetic zone to full-mouth rehabilitation using the All-on-X concept.
During the course, you will learn:
🔹 Prosthetically driven implant positioning
🔹 Implant and abutment selection for predictable functional and aesthetic outcomes

In endodontics, overly aggressive instrumentation rarely looks like a mistake in the moment.
On the contrary, it may feel like the clinician is making the treatment more reliable: enlarging the canal more thoroughly, improving irrigant access, and creating a more predictable shape for obturation.
But the clinical line between adequate shaping and overtreatment can be very thin.
This is why modern instrumentation is not just about choosing a file or a system. It is about assessing anatomy, understanding instrument mechanics, and anticipating risk zones before they become complications.
In this carousel, we review 5 mistakes to eliminate from your protocol if you want to make canal shaping safer and more predictable.
🦷 Want to work more confidently with root canals, understand the logic behind instrument selection, and reduce risks during mechanical preparation?
Join us for Mikhail Solomonov’s seminar:
📍 Warsaw
📆 October 17, 2026
“Instrumentation in Endodontics Today”
During the seminar, you will explore:
📌 contemporary principles of root canal instrumentation and clinical instrument selection;
📌 the role of stainless steel, nickel-titanium, and “scraping” instruments in endodontics;
📌 controlled memory wire NiTi systems as the basis for primary canal shaping;
📌 instrument parameters that influence safety: taper, cross-section, tip design, and rake angle;
📌 key instrumentation risks: over-enlargement of the orifice and apex, and excessive taper;
📌 the differences between full-rotation and reciprocating systems, canal complexity assessment, and principles for combining instruments.

But the clinical line between adequate shaping and overtreatment can be very thin.
⚠️ Excessive apical enlargement, increased taper, loss of working length, or canal transportation may lead not to better disinfection, but to loss of apical control, extrusion of infected contents beyond the apex, and a compromised prognosis.

Does smoking always mean a poor prognosis for treatment with the All-on-4® concept?
Smoking is widely recognized as a risk factor in implant dentistry. But does it primarily affect implant survival, or does it have a greater impact on long-term bone stability?
In a 5-year retrospective study, Dr. Paulo Malo and colleagues compared the outcomes of 100 smokers and 100 non-smokers who underwent full-arch mandibular rehabilitation using the All-on-4® concept.
The findings were more interesting than expected.
🦷 Implant survival rates remained high in both groups:
However, the results were different when marginal bone loss was evaluated:
These findings suggest that, for smokers, the primary concern is not early implant failure, but long-term marginal bone loss.
📖 We’ve summarized the study in this carousel. Swipe through and let us know your thoughts in the comments. Do you think smoking should influence treatment planning for full-arch rehabilitation?

🦷 Sometimes the hardest part of treatment is not choosing the protocol — it’s understanding where to begin
A patient may present with several issues at once: tooth wear, overload, esthetic concerns, periodontal risks, changes in occlusion, old restorations.
And in these cases, the clinician needs more than just a treatment plan.
The real questions are:
What is the key problem here?
Which risk must not be missed?
What could affect the result in one, three, or five years?
The first module with Dr. Tak-On Ryan Tse is dedicated to the fundamentals of the Kois concept — a system that helps clinicians break down complex cases into clear diagnostic steps.
During the seminar, doctors will discuss:
