From 1948 to 1975, the U.S. Army Chemical Corpsconducted classified human subject research at the Edgewood Arsenal facility in Maryland.[1] These experiments began after the conclusion of World War II, and continued until the public became aware of the experiments, resulting in significant outcry. The purpose was to evaluate the impact of low-dose chemical warfare agents on military personneland to test protective clothing, pharmaceuticals, and vaccines. A small portion of these studies were directed at psychochemical warfare; grouped under the title "Medical Research Volunteer Program" (1956–1975), driven by intelligence requirements and the need for new and more effective interrogation techniques.[1]

The Stargate Project was a secret U.S. Army unit established in 1977 at Fort Meade, Maryland, by the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) and SRI International (a California contractor) to investigate the potential for psychic phenomena in military and domestic intelligence applications. The project, and its precursors and sister projects, originally went by various code names – 'Gondola Wish', 'Stargate', 'Grill Flame', 'Center Lane', 'Project CF', 'Sun Streak', 'Scanate' – until 1991 when they were consolidated and rechristened as the "Stargate Project".

Anti-hail sonic cannon with higher characteristics
The invention relates to a sonic-wave cannon for preventing hail formation in the atmosphere, to be mounted on the ground and having the possibility of generating a supplementary flux of positive ions towards the cumulonimbus clouds charged with ice particles. According to the invention, the cannon has an explosion chamber (1) provided with an ignition plug (2) for igniting the mixture of intake gases, a socket (3) for the gas mixture intake, an overpressure valve (4), a nozzle for exhausting gases from the explosion chamber (1) consisting of two sections (5 and 7), a lower one and an upper one, electrically insulated by an insulator (6), the lower section (5) being insulated with the explosion chamber (1), and the upper section (7) having a transverse metal polarization grid (8), both sections (5 and 7) are connected to the electric poles of a high direct voltage source (9).
