Some analysts at U.S. intelligence agencies are careful not to write assessments that are at odds with the White House’s views for fear of political retaliation, two former officials and a current U.S. official told Reuters.
Reuters also reports that intelligence sharing with Congress and across the government has slowed, and at times temporarily stopped, according to eight current and former officials and people briefed on the matter.
