This poll will help us determine the best course of action moving forward. We have identified an issue in the latest version 1.7.1 of the Pactus software on Testnet. The Xeggex freeze functionality in the code has caused issues due to differences between testnet and mainnet wallets. This has resulted in chain halts, impacting the overall stability of the network.
To resolve this issue and restore normal operations, we kindly request all users to take the following actions immediately:
If you are running version 1.7.1:
Stop your node.
Downgrade to version 1.7.0.
Restart your node.
If you are already running version 1.7.0:
Please restart your node to ensure it is functioning optimally.
Why is this necessary?
The Xeggex freeze functionality in version 1.7.1 is incompatible with the testnet environment, as testnet and mainnet wallets have a different address structure. Reverting to version 1.7.0 will help stabilize the chain and prevent further issues.
Please Note: This announcement only applies to the testnet. If you are running mainnet, you can safely continue using version 1.7.1 without any issues.
