Spot diagnosis :- Oral Thrush in Infants or oral candidiasis:-
Oral thrush is a common fungal infection in babies, caused by a yeast called Candida albicans.

Signs & Symptoms:
- White patches in the mouth (tongue, cheeks, roof of mouth)
- Fussiness or pain during feeding
- Redness or cracks around the mouth
- Sometimes accompanied by diaper rash (fungal)
---
Causes:
- Recent antibiotic use (baby or mother)
- Poorly cleaned bottles or pacifiers
- Fungal infection on mother’s nipples
---
💊 Treatment:Topical antifungal medication:- Nystatin drops or Miconazole oral gel
- Keep feeding items sterilized
- Treat mother’s nipples if breastfeeding and infected

• Postpartum colostrum contains high concentrations of antibodies and other infection-protective elements (natu- ral immunization).
• The actual antibodies against specific microbial agents present in an individual woman’s milk depends on her exposure and response to the particular agents.
• Lactoferrin: Limits bacterial growth by iron chelation.
• Lysozyme: Bacterial cell wall lysis.
• Lactalbumin: Enhance the growth Bifidobacterium and affects immune modulation.
• Casein: Limits adhesion of bacteria and facilitates the growth of Bifidobacterium.
• Carbohydrates: Enhance the growth of probiotics.
• Lipids: Lytic effect on many viruses and are active against Giardia as well.

التطعيم الفيروسي التنفسي المخلوي للام اثناء الحمل تحد من خطورة المرض الدي يسببه هذا الفيروس عند الاطفال بالذات ذوي الخطورة
Abrysvo (RSVpreF – Pfizer)
يعطي جرعة واحدة IM
التوقيت للأم في بين الاسبوع 32 - 36weeks
: فكرته و الهدف من اعطاءه
انتقال maternal antibodies عبر المشيمة وحماية الطفل من severe RSV خلال أول 6 أشهر.
• إذا أُعطي اللقاح للأم ≥14 يومًا قبل الولادة، فغالبًا لا يحتاج الطفل إلى monoclonal antibody.
