📢 PCI Important Update for B.Pharm Students
The Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) has issued a carryover provision for B.Pharm students admitted up to the Academic Year 2025–26.
Key Highlights:
✅ Students admitted up to 2025–26 will continue under the 2016–17 B.Pharm syllabus.
✅ They can progress to the next semester while clearing backlog subjects.
✅ This provision is available up to the 8th semester.
✅ Students with attendance shortage will get opportunities to complete attendance through special classes or other approved arrangements.
✅ The revised B.Pharm Syllabus 2026 (NEP 2020) will apply only to students admitted from 2026–27 onwards.

Amlodipine is one of the most commonly prescribed medicines for high blood pressure and angina. However, one of its well-known side effects is peripheral (pedal) edema, which causes swelling of the feet and ankles.

🔹 Why does it happen?
Amlodipine dilates blood vessels, increasing pressure in small capillaries and allowing fluid to leak into surrounding tissues.

🔹 Common signs:
✅ Swollen feet and ankles
✅ Tight shoes or socks
✅ Heaviness in legs
✅ Usually painless swelling

🔹 Important:
Do NOT stop amlodipine on your own. If swelling becomes troublesome, consult your doctor. Dose adjustment or combination therapy may help.
