📝 Tips for Writing a Good Research Title (Easy Language Guide)
Writing the title of your research paper is very important. It is the first thing people see, and it helps them decide whether they want to read your full paper or not. A good title should clearly show what your research is about.
🔹 Two Main Types of Titles:
Descriptive Title – This tells what your research focuses on.
Example: “The Effects of Social Media on Teenagers”
Conclusive Title – This shows what your research found.
Example: “Social Media Has Harmful Effects on Teenagers”
💡 To create a good title, ask yourself these simple questions:
✅ 1. What is my research about?
✅ 2. What method did I use?
✅ 3. Who or what did I study
✅ 4. What did I find?
📌 Now, make a list of important words from your answers:
-X Therapy
-Randomized Trial
-Dementia
-40 People
-6 Cities in Japan
-Improved Memory/Thinking
✏️ Create a title using these keywords:
Example sentence (before shortening):
“This study is a randomized trial that looks at whether X Therapy helped improve memory in 40 dementia patients from 6 Japanese cities.”
🧾 Final Short Title Examples:
✅ Descriptive Style:
“Randomized Trial of X Therapy for Improving Memory in 40 Dementia Patients in 6 Japanese Cities”
✅ With Subtitle:
“X Therapy Helps Improve Memory in Dementia Patients: A Randomized Trial”
✅ Tips to Remember:
-Keep it short but meaningful
-Use clear and simple words
-Don’t repeat the same idea
-Let the title reflect your main idea and method
