More On Shell Scripting

ባለፈው እንዳየነው የshell scripting ዋና purpose tasks automate ለማረግ ነው። ማለትም commands አንድ በአንድ እየፃፍን terminal ላይ execute ከማረግ በአንዴ script እንፅፍና ስህተት/ bug እስከሌለበት ድረስ every lines will be executed one after the other.

ለምሳሌ ፡
አንድ "Hello, Ethiopia!" ብሎ terminal ላይ print የሚያረግ የshell script እንፃፍ፣ ሙሉ ሂደቱን ለመረዳት ከላይ ያለውን አጭር video ተመልከቱ።

1. በመጀመሪያ text editor እንከፍታለን (such as nano, vim, or gedit) and hello.sh የተባለ file እንፈጥራለን። እዚህ video ላይ የተጠቀምነው text editor nano ነው።

nano hello.sh

ከዛ ፋይሉ ውስጥ እነዚህን ነገሮች እንፅፋለን

#!/bin/bash
# This is a comment
echo "Hello,  Ethiopia!"

#line_1 "#!/bin/bash" /shebang line/ ብለን ከላይ የፃፍነው scriptu በbash shell interpreter execute እንዲሆንልን ነው ።

በprogramming comment የምንለው a text still in the code yet not executed, ለ shell Scripting comment መፃፍ ከፈለግን textun በ"#" እንጀምራለን።

ለምሳሌ the 2nd line of our script does nothing because it is a comment.

Interpreter የምንለው itself is a program that translates and executes code written in a high-level programming language in to machine code(which is understandable by the computer).

2. ከዛ በዃላ we will save our hello.sh script file.
nano የምትጠቀሙ ከሆነ መጀመሪያ ላይ "CTRL - O" to save the file then "CTRl - X" to exit from the text editor.

3. በቀጣይ የምናረገው script ፋይሉን executable ማረግ ነው: ወይም permission መስጠት ነው for the file to be executed.
ስለ file permission በቀጣይ እንማራለን but for now just do this.

chmod +x hello.sh

4. በመጨረሻ የቀረን ነገር scriptun run ማረግ ነው፣ to do this:

./hello.sh

ይሄ script run ስናረገው bash interpreter በመጠቀም the code runs and a text "Hello, Ethiopia!" is printed in our terminal, this was done by the command "echo".

ይህ ቀላል ምሳሌ ነው ሌሎች ኮዶችን በመፃፍ shell Scripting ተለማመዱ።

እነዚህ Logic Gates በDigital circuits ውስጥ ውስብስብ የlogic ስራዎችን ለመስራት በተለያዩ መንገዶች ሊጣመሩ ይችላሉ። Binary data ለማቀነባበር እና ለመቆጣጠር በcomputer Processor፣ memory chips እና ሌሎች digital ሲስተሞች ዲዛይን ላይ ጥቅም ላይ ይውላሉ።

UNIX: Linux እና macOSን ጨምሮ ለብዙ ዘመናዊ operating ሲስተሞች መሰረት የጣለ powerful፣ ብዙ ተጠቃሚ ያለው፣ ባለብዙ ተግባር ኦፕሬቲንግ ሲስተም ነው። Powerful command-line አለው እና enterprise servers እና scientific environments ውስጥ በሰፊው ጥቅም ላይ ይውላል።

Unixን ከስልክ ወይም ከPC access ማረግ ይቻላል።

1. Termux app፡ Install the Termux app on your Android phone to access a full Unix-like environment. ይህ command-line interface ለመጠቀም፣ Packages ለመጫን እና እንደ Python እና እንደ C ያሉ programming languages በመጠቀም ፕሮግራሞችን ለመፍጠርና እና run ለማረግ ያስችላል።

በቀጣይ basic shell commands practice እናደርጋለን።

2. SSH(Secure Shell)፡ ከUnix ማሽን ጋር በርቀት ለመገናኘት የSSH client በስልክ ላይ መጠቀም ትችላላችሁ።

Make sure you have an internet connection when you use SSH, you can access the virtual machine as long as you are connected to the internet.

SSH በመጠቀም UNIX OS በስልክም ሆነ በPC access ማረግ ትችላላችሁ።

3. Install Unix based OS: you can also install a Unix based operating system like Linux or FreeBSD on your PC.
