Last day on earth as an 18 year old.
It feels very normally casual and weirdly strange at the same time.
I never really felt how I aged. My 15 was the same as my 16 and same with 17 and so on i guess. At some moments, I think I matured for my age very early and sometimes (though rarely) the vice versa. Last year, turning 18 was an incredible expectation putting. Because you know, it is 18. So many songs about it, the official age when I could finally go out at night myself, and just generally first step i guess. But as I said, nothing much changed between ages.
My 18th year was incredible if I actually think about it. People tend to forget what they experienced, and for that reason, when I open my gallery I immediately get reminded that I actually have a super interesting and exciting life. I am greatful to god for all. I mean think about it - I finally got in, traveled to another country with the boys, held a steady job, had family and friends whom people look up to, did dozens of interesting activities (be it sports, films, concerts) and finally packing my bags to fly away and start the new chapter in 10 days.
People tend to ask me a lot how old I am. I donβt really give them the answer. Rarely people know. I think it could have gotten our connection a bit into trouble (for me at least) and I still think so. Thus, I hope even after this, we will have the same relationship and respect with all my acquintances and friends (if i was a big bro, then let it stay big bro. Donβt make it awkward for me pls).
And YES. I am just 18, and turning fully 19 tomorrow. I just went to school a year earlier and studied with 06s.
And. Forever young.

But apparently age does not matter. What matters is who you are and what you do.

Why no one told me that I have to study in college?!

It has been 2 months since I came to the US, and I could not post at all. It is mostly because I did not really have free time as I focused on experiencing this moment myself live, but I will try to make some posts now.
I flew down to JFK Airport but did not go to the New York City itself. I took the college shuttle and came to directly to Conn College.
Honestly, these roads look exactly like in the movies. Yellow lines, big trucks, high-elevated pickups like Ford F150, and miles instead of km. I also for the first time saw that Chevrolet makes cars that we do not have in Uzbekistan.
I was so tired when I came though, for I flew to Istanbul then NYC, and I slept like a baby on a hard college matress.

Some photos of my college from the first day I came here.
Our campus is beautiful. There are no very high buildings, but everything is enough and nice. Compared to Uzbekistan's unis, it is way bigger. We have these stone buildings from 1911 (the year when it was founded). Squirrels are apparently in every campus in the US; we have got a lot of them too.
We have a field called Silfen, which is literally like a professional stadium field in Uzbekistan. College sports in the US are taken so seriously, unimaginable for Uzbekistan universities.
Since Connecticut College is located in New London (it is a really small city tho, I would love to live in a big city), we have a waterfront - an access to the water. You can literally exit to Atlantic Ocean. Weather is really humid, but I did not really feel it much. The air is very fresh. Apparently, we have our rowing that practices in the Thames River.
Last photo is from a pond from our 300-hectare Arboretum, which is our private forest and it even has an island, but I will make some posts about it later.

Turkish Airlines bilan uchgandim, okay ekan. Yo'l bo'yi Dune ni ko'rib keldim. Endi sekin sekin keyingi qismlariniyam ko'rvolishim kerak.
Aeroportdanoq 'American' vibe sezildi. O'sha sariq board. Lekin, Amerikada hamma narsa ham o'zimizga o'xshab digitalized emas ekan. Ko'p narsalar "ishlayaptimi, tegma" prinsipi bo'yicha ishlaydi. Kuni kecha poezga bilet ogan bitta app skachat qigandim, huddi 50-yillarda yasalagan appga oxshaydi (zamonaviylariham bor, hammasi bunaqa mas lekin). Hullas, digitalized bo'masayam, o'zini vibe bor.
Kelishimiz bilan, Targetga borib shopping qip keldik. Yotgani to'shak yoqakan betta, shunga qanaqadur machalka olishga majbur boldim ehh.. Menimcha O'zbekistonda bunaqa supermarket yo'q, ichida oziq ovqatdan tortib dori darmon va mebellargacha bor.
Xonamdi endi kegandagi rasmi. Men bu yil triple da turippan (2ta xonadoshim bor). I hate it uh, sharing my room with anyone, but fine they are americans, so cultural exchange ig.
Men ulardan 2 kun oldin keldim chunki bizda international orientation bor edi. College da odam kam, atiga 2,000 ta student. Har kuni birxil odamlardi ko'ryappan, boshqa katta public unilarda 30mingtalab odam bor. Shunaqa qilib international orientatda odamlar bilan tanishdim, qonun qoida diganlaridey. Pokistonlik bollar ko'pakan bu yil, lekin hammasi private school larda o'qiganakan. So'rasam, 5ta A-level topshiribti (o'zimizda prezident maktabida 3ta topshirishadi). Men bo'sa tem boleyee oddiy maktabda o'qib keganman. Hullas atrofdagi bollar aqqli, realno bilinadi. Shundayam, ular qanaqadir superman diganimas. O'sha katta joylarda o'qib ishlekkon yoki erishib qoygan bollaram oddiy odam, bizdan uncha farqi yo'q. Bemalol compete qib, harakat qisa yutib chiqsa bo'ladi.
