Each channel is a different program.
Whatever channel you keep watching begins to program you.

This isn’t about TVs.

They want you to choose left or right, but never look above the division. They want you to blame the rich or the poor, your parents or your partner, but never examine yourself.

They want you to chase the newest car, clothes and possessions, but never realise you can create your own value.

They want you to believe governments, corporations and institutions hold all the power, when in reality, you are what gives them power.

Your attention is currency. Your time is currency. Your energy is currency.

Without you, none of it can exist.

The easiest man to control is the man who believes he is already free.

Keep him distracted, driven by impulse, addicted to stimulation and unaware of the forces shaping his thoughts and desires.

He will call his conditioning “personality,” his impulses “choice,” and his programming “free will.”

This is why self-knowledge has always been dangerous to systems of control.

The moment a man becomes conscious of what moves him, he becomes much harder to move.

The elites’ greatest advantage has always been understanding the mind better than the masses. Occult knowledge is the study of the hidden forces behind human behaviour: symbolism, desire, fear, attention and belief. When you understand what moves people unconsciously, you gain influence over those who do not understand what moves themselves.

We’re going deep into Jonah and the great fish (Bible story) and breaking it down psychologically. Looking at what happens when you run away from your higher will and your own inner conscience. When you know what you need to do, but something within you keeps pulling you away from it.

We’re going to be challenging ourselves tonight, confronting parts of ourselves we normally avoid and ultimately learning how to gain more mastery over self.

Have you ever actually sat and thought about which voice in your head is you? One voice says get up and do it, another says do it tomorrow. One says stop, another says just one more time. One knows what’s right but another can somehow make every bad decision sound okay.

So which one is you? Because they all speak through the same mind.

Knowing yourself starts with actually watching these voices and seeing which one you have been letting control your life.

“Do not conform to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” Romans 12:2

To not conform to the world means do not give your soul to the external world and build your entire identity around it. Your money, body, status, possessions and even the roles you play are things you experience, they are not what you are.

We are here to experience the world, learn through it and grow through it, not lose ourselves in it.

The world is something the soul passes through. The danger is becoming so identified with the experience that you forget the one experiencing it.

“Take captive every thought.” 2 Corinthians 10:5

Most people dont control their thoughts, they obey them.

A thought appears and suddenly it becomes an emotion. The emotion becomes an urge. The urge becomes an action. Repeat that enough and it becomes your character.

To take a thought captive means there is something within you capable of standing above thought and observing it before obeying it.

You are not every voice that speaks inside your mind.

The real question is, which ones have you been allowing to rule you?

“A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.” James 1:8

This verse goes a lot deeper when you look at it psychologically.

You can literally have two different wills fighting inside of you. One part of you knows exactly what you should be doing, but another part wants comfort, pleasure, distraction or the easy way out.

This is why knowing better doesn’t always mean you do better. You can know exactly what needs to change and still find yourself repeating the same things.

A lot of the battle is just becoming aware of which voice inside of you is actually making your decisions.

“Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” Proverbs 4:23

I think when the Bible speaks about guarding the heart, it’s talking about being careful with what we allow to take root within us.

Everything we repeatedly think about eventually starts to produce feeling. Those feelings influence our desires, our reactions and eventually the way we act.

So guarding your heart isn’t about closing yourself off from the world. It’s about paying attention to what you keep feeding within yourself, because whatever you allow to live within you long enough will eventually find a way of expressing itself through your life.

The spiritual world is closer to you than your own nose. We’re just rarely still enough to notice it.

Matthew 6:22

“The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.”

I think the single eye is really talking about becoming one within yourself.

We have so many different forces pulling us in different directions. The body wants comfort, the emotions want satisfaction, the ego wants recognition, but then there is that higher will within you that knows what you should actually be doing.

Maybe making the eye single means bringing all of these different parts of yourself under that one higher will.

Because the more divided you are inside, the more confused you become. One part of you wants to change while another part keeps pulling you backwards.

But when the higher will becomes the authority, you slowly stop fighting against yourself. You become one within yourself.

Whoever has no rule over his own spirit is like a city broken down, without walls.” Proverbs 25:28

I think the spirit here can be understood as the governing principle within us. The will that gives direction to the mind.

The mind doesn’t move the body by itself. First there is awareness, then intention and will. The mind takes that command and the brain and nervous system translate it into physical action.

So to “rule your own spirit” is to have authority over your own awareness and will. If you have no inner rule, every thought, emotion and impulse can pull your will in a different direction.

A city without walls can be entered and ruled by anything. A person without inner authority can be the same.

Maybe real spiritual power starts with learning what is actually governing your will.

He that ruleth his spirit is better than he that taketh a city.” Proverbs 16:32

I think the spirit is the commanding principle within us. It is the higher will that gives direction to the mind and decides which thoughts actually become actions.

The mind can suggest a thousand different things, the body can pull us towards comfort and desire, but neither should be king.

The spirit gives the command. The mind carries it out. The body follows.

Maybe that’s what true self mastery really is. When the highest part of you becomes the ruling authority within you.

“Blessed is the man who knows at what point of the house the robbers are going to enter.”
Gospel of Thomas, Saying 98

The house is your mind, and the robbers are the things that know exactly how to get inside and throw you off balance. Everyone has weak points. It could be anger, lust, insecurity, needing approval, certain people, certain places, or habits you keep falling back into.

The teaching is simple. Know yourself well enough to know where you are weak before something exposes it. If you know a certain environment always leads you back into an old habit, why keep putting yourself there? If you know criticism triggers your anger, become conscious of it before someone criticises you.

A big part of self mastery is knowing where you usually lose control and preparing yourself beforehand. Know where the robber enters, and guard the door.
