Ted Cruz has been aiming for a second Presidential run for some time but now that he is the only statewide elected Republican in Texas he may reconsider as to not risk losing the seat for the party. He hasn't spoken about running in over half a year.

Democrats so far:

New Jersey Senator Cory Booker will be visiting South Carolina twice in the next month.

Jon Ossoff has been effectively campaigning for President as part of his Senate re-election bid this year and is likely the only Jewish Democrat who can win the primary, the DSA is tolerant of him despite his pro Israel stances.

Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro is comfortable staying where he is and is reportedly scared of further retaliation from the DSA and Palestine supporters if he runs, his house was attacked with a Molotov cocktail last year by them.

Most Democrats including out of office leaders like Kamala Harris are still consolidating the parties victories and planning next steps.
