Officers claim they operated exclusively in the external public area (Aleja Szucha) to fulfill their statutory duty to maintain public safety, manage the protests, and respond to disturbances such as trespassing and "objects thrown at officers".

However, the Tribunal judge the Warsaw police claims to have answered to is likely Ms. Anna Korwin-Piotrowska, who is NOT a judge of the Constitutional Tribunal according to a statement from said Constitutional Tribunal.
