War Lies - Ukraine Is Winning, But Needs More Weapons - Russia Is Weak, But Will Take Over Europe

I have been wondering why exactly Dr Mathai Mammen resigned his very well paid position at JNJ.
It’s very unusual to resign with no reason given. The “pursuit of other opportunities” line is pure puffery. Walking away from millions in bonuses, options & restricted stock is almost unheard of at this level.
If it was for reasons of health, that might have been alluded to. I’d be sorry to learn that this was the reason. My hunch is it isn’t health.
I’m not claiming I unseated him, though that was my intention in naming him in several video interviews.
I’m looking at whether he re-emerges in another senior role, for example in biotech, where he was previously very successful.
If anyone has insights, I’d be intrigued to hear them.
Mathai is the person who’s most disappointed me. I confess it’s partly because I thought he was a genuinely good person. And a very smart one.
These cannot both be true.

I stumbled upon this smear piece. It was mildly amusing at the time. I notice their complete failure to identify a plausible motive for the stance I’d taken.
Why was that, do you think?
It’s such an odd narrative that I expect a fair fraction of readers asked themselves “Why the dickens would this formerly uncontroversial scientist have become so critical of a particular type of pharma product?

"The Guardian’s plan to produce a podcast about its historical slave trade links has been the subject of a race complaint from an award-winning audio producer who worked on the series.

The British newspaper has been assembling a major editorial project about its founder John Edward Taylor and his connections to transatlantic slavery. At the heart of the work is a podcast, which is due to be published in the coming months.

Deadline can reveal that three producers raised their concerns in writing to managers last year after working on the show. The trio accused The Guardian of “institutional racism, editorial whiteness and ignorance,” adding that the newspaper had attempted to “whitewash” history during the making of the podcast."

"Maybe not again?" - a video with this phrase showing tanks from 1943 and 2022 was broadcast in the center of Berlin.

🇩🇪 The Germans are trying to remind the government of the country about the actions of the Nazi regime and the consequences.

What the media framing is omitting is that these tanks will have people inside. Those people will be killed. They don't mention this do they? It's just "tanks".
